Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson share hopes for national radio domination and even look towards TV opportunities amid huge Melbourne expansion

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson recently brought their breakfast radio to Melbourne in a massive multi-million dollar expansion.

But the KIIS FM hosting duo revealed they have no plans to stop there as they shared their hopes for national domination across Australia.

Radio shock jock Kyle, 52, stressed a national rollout should be considered if The Kyle And Jackie O Show is a success in Melbourne.

He told news.com.au: ‘I really think if we do really well in Melbourne, let’s say it’s half as successful as Sydney, they should roll it all out (nationally).’

However, he stressed that they will only move to new locations if “there is a market in trouble”, as he alluded to the reason for the Melbourne expansion.

Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins and Lauren Phillips were kicked out of the ARN network last November to make way for Kyle and Jackie’s breakfast show in Sydney and have since moved to Nova.

Kyle said the appearance of local ARN breakfast shows will be considered before any replacements, with Jackie, 49, insisting they do not want to ‘fire’ people from their jobs.

Amid their big radio plans, Kyle and Jackie are also looking to expand into television as they show no signs of slowing down.

Jackie talked about how they want to give fans the opportunity to watch and listen to their breakfast show live on KIIS FM.

She explained: ‘It can be as simple as you know, you’re on the train and you’re listening and you say, “I wouldn’t mind watching this,” and you have that option to tune out at any time voices and see what happens, instead of just hearing it.’

‘I think it is certainly possible, but I don’t know where and which platform.’

Their rivals Jase and Lauren have recently criticized their former employers after their Melbourne show was canceled to make way for The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

In their first show for Nova FM, Jase said he was ‘sting’ that The Jase and Lauren Show was being replaced by a ‘networking from Sydney’ programme.

‘Melbourne deserves better… That’s how it was handled. And not just for us, but for everyone who worked on the show,” he said at the time.

Jackie and Kyle have signed a $200 million, 10-year radio contract that will reportedly pay them each $10 million a year and keep them on the air until 2034.
