Kyle Sandilands and Ben Fordham spark feud over wedding invite

Radio king Kyle Sandilands denies that Ben Fordham was invited to his wedding after the 2GB star said he was too busy to attend the extravagant event

Kyle Sandilands and Ben Fordham appear to have started a public feud over the radio king’s wedding invitations after the 2GB star insisted he was too busy to attend.

The former sportscaster, 46, told podcaster Jon-Bernard Kairouz that he had better things to do in Orange during April’s million-dollar ceremony.

His dark remark sparked a rebuttal from his old friend and fellow radio star, 51, who said on Wednesday that Ben wasn’t invited to begin with.

“No, I wasn’t at the wedding. I actually organized an event in Orange that weekend,” Ben continued The JBK Show on Monday.

When the interview was brought to Kyle’s attention on his own KIIS FM radio show, he joked about it and said, “He was never invited to the wedding.”

Ben and Kyle are actually good friends behind the scenes, though they often call each other names and play pranks that make people think differently.

Last November, Kyle rubbed salt in Ben’s wounds when The Kyle and Jackie O Show beat its 2GB rival in the radio ratings at the time.

The radio shock jock told Daily Mail Australia that he broke the ratings news to the talkback star via a cheeky text before the results were even released.

He said: “I texted Ben before the results were made public and said, ‘Sorry, Benny!’ And he wrote back, “How did it go?” And I said, “Just a little bit better than you.”‘

Ben fired back when Daily Mail Australia contacted him saying ‘You win some, you lose some. Head to head, we won 16 surveys and they won two.”

However, it looked like Kyle would get his size back for the hilarious stunt Ben pulled on his 50th birthday the year before.

Ben, who loves trolling his radio rival on the AM bandwidth, announced live on radio that it was in fact Kyle’s 60th birthday, not the milestone 50th.
