Kyle Richards is ‘taking it a day at a time’ with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky and says they still ‘get along’ – as she talks friendship with Morgan Wade
Kyle Richards is discussing her marriage to estranged husband Mauricio Umansky “day by day” following their shock split over the summer.
During an interview on E! NewsRichards, 55, said she and Mauricio, 53, still “get along” and live in the same house, despite their divorce after 27 years of marriage.
Asked about a possible reconciliation between her and Mauricio, she said: “Right now we’re just taking it one day at a time. We still live in the same house and get along well. Our girls never grew up with arguments in the house, that’s still the case. We just don’t argue. So it’s just trying to work through things and take it slow.”
Viewers learned about Kyle’s marital problems on the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and the star opened up about their issues on camera for the first time before coming clean to their daughters.
Kyle responded to her RHOBH castmates’ push to share more of her life, saying, “I was honest from the beginning, the first scene we all shot together, I said, ‘My husband and I are going through a hard time.’ ” And that was really hard for me to share on camera because I was processing that myself,” Kyle said.

Richards has been romantically linked to singer Morgan Wade since splitting from Mauricio, but insists they are just friends
“We hadn’t even shared that with our daughters yet,” she added. “So I thought, ‘You’re not going to get everything before our kids.'”
Her daughter Sophia Umansky, who joined the interview, described how difficult it was to bring attention to her family’s problems.
“It’s definitely tough when there’s so much going on at home,” she said.
“I mean, this in itself is a lot to process, and to have the whole world talking about it — that’s what it feels like — is a lot,” she said. “But I have to say that I’m grateful for everything my mother, who is in the spotlight, has brought into our lives, so it’s really hard to say. But right now it’s tough.’
Richards also opened up about her friendship with Morgan Wade, a country singer with whom she is romantically linked but who she insists is just a friend.
During a performance op Jeff Lewis LiveKyle turned the spotlight on their relationship, saying that Wade was part of a group of friends who she “leaned on.”
“She’s a group of friends that I lean on,” she said. “She’s part of a group of friends where I… there are those friends who are the first texts of the day, you know right away?
“You know there are different levels of friendships, and you may love all these friends, but there are different levels. My first text messages of the day are from four different people,” she said.

Kyle and Mauricio announced in July that they had split after 27 years of marriage.
The two share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia and 16-year-old Portia. Kyle also has daughter Farrah, 35, from her first marriage.
In an interview with UsWeekly Last month, Richards talked about getting into “the best shape of her life” amid her breakup.
She has prioritized her physical fitness, telling the outlet, “I think back to when I was in my 20s and 30s — and I look better than I did then, and that’s after I had four kids — (I realize me) that it is absolutely never too late.’
Kyle said, “When I was younger, I exercised to lose weight.”
In contrast, she noted, “Now it’s about me—my mental health first and foremost. The fact that I look good is just a bonus.”
