Kyle Richards insists she has ‘no idea’ who leaked Mauricio Umansky marriage split story after Real Housewives co-stars share VERY interesting theories

Kyle Richards insisted she didn’t know who planted the story about her divorce from Mauricio Umansky on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The 55-year-old reality star appeared on the Bravo talk show after the latest episode of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills broke the news in July 2023 that she and Mauricios, 53, split after 27 years of marriage.

“Mau had some ideas and he was very upset about them,” Kyle said. ‘I was too. I have no idea.’

Wednesday’s season 13 finale showed Kyle’s castmates responding to the People article about their divorce with some very interesting theories of their own.

“Did Kyle’s People magazine exclusive come as a way to pre-empt what everyone was saying about her?,” newcomer Annemarie Wiley asked during the episode.

Crystal Kung Minkoff, 41, shared the news at the same time as her Hollywood husband Rob Minkoff, 61.

“So I guess the question is, who planted this story? Do you want a guess? Morgan told People magazine that they were divorced,” Rob said, referring to Kyle’s girlfriend, country singer Morgan Wade, 29.

Crystal told her husband he was in “crazy director mode.”

“I think Kyle has been lying to us this whole time,” Sutton Stracke, 52, told Garcelle Beauvais, 57, who agreed.

Kyle had a conversation with her daughters during the episode in which she and Mauricio discussed their divorce and told Andy that it was hard to watch.

“It’s hard to watch,” Kyle said. ‘I don’t need to see it because I’ve already experienced it and it’s hard to just relive it. I pulled it together.”

Andy, 55, told Kyle not to worry about fans’ messages that she had let them down because this was her own journey.

“It’s beautiful, the marriage you had and your relationship,” Andy said.

‘It’s not just that. Obviously it’s my kids, myself, but if you see these messages, I have an incredible amount of support,” Kyle said. ‘But you do get those messages and it makes you feel bad. I see them and it makes me sad.”

During a game called “Battle of the Besties,” Andy asked her who she trusted the least: Sutton Stracke or Dorit Kemsley.

“Both now,” Kyle said.

When asked who hurt her the most this season in their confessionals, Kyle Sutton said. Kyle also said neither of them were better listeners, but she thought her sisters were closer to Sutton.

Nicky Hilton, 40, then came on stage to take Kyle’s shot from Andy’s shot ski, as part of the weekly tradition.

Virtual fans asked Kyle if she could see her sisters Kathy and Kim return to the show.

“I definitely saw Kathy and Kim both on the show,” Kyle said. ‘I know the fans really want that. We will see.’

Andy asked her reaction to comments that Mauricio brought up everything about their marriage on his Netflix show, but she was more guarded on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I was a little surprised,” Kyle said. “And he said something like, ‘I encouraged him to date…’

“Meeting other people,” Andy said.

“It wasn’t encouraged,” Kyle said. “If we break up so I don’t feel hurt, I would rather say that than it is easier to say than being blind.”

The Real Housewives of Miami star Kiki Barth, 34, was also on the show and was asked her thoughts on Larsa Pippen, 49, and Marcus Jordan, 33, breaking up and getting back together.”

“She says everything is fine,” Kiki said after checking in with Larsa following news of the breakup. “Two minutes later they’re back together.”

“But if I know how Larsa is doing, I don’t know,” Kiki said. ‘Maybe it’s a stunt. I really do not know.’

Kiki also joked that Larsa’s engagement ring will likely be from her own jewelry line.

“You’re killing me,” Kyle said, laughing.
