Kyle Richards’ estranged husband Mauricio Umansky’s Netflix show Buying Beverly Hills is canceled

Netflix has canceled the reality series Buying Beverly Hills, which centers on Mauricio Umansky and the real estate agents from his company The Agency.

The 54-year-old entrepreneur, who is the estranged husband of Kyle Richards, appears on the series alongside his daughters Farrah and Alexia.

The show’s second season premiered on the streamer in March.

Sources said Term The reason for the cancellation is the number of viewers and not the production costs.

It follows the last season which focused on Kyle and Mauricio’s marital problems.

Another tension in the series was the tense relationship between Umansky and his brother-in-law Rick Hilton.

The rift between the former business partners was the reason for the founding of The Agency.

There was also a storyline in the second season based on Kyle and Mauricio’s daughter Sophia getting involved in the family business.

The unscripted show premiered in late 2022.

The patriarch promoted the series on social media at the time, writing in the caption, “I’m so excited to announce that @theagencyre will be joining Netflix this fall in the series Buying Beverly Hills.

“I will be starring alongside my daughters, @farrahbritt and @alexiaumansky, and a talented group of agents from The Agency in Beverly Hills.”

In a season two episode, Richards and Umansky joked about what they would both get if they divorced. The former couple announced their separation in October 2023.

The 55-year-old reality star and the 53-year-old real estate agent were featured in the second season of Buying Beverly Hills after it was announced that they had separated after 27 years of marriage.

One episode also featured a scene in which the real estate mogul confessed that he was afraid to ask his ex-wife if she was dating her good friend, singer Morgan Wade.
