Long before Kyle Richards reportedly split from Mauricio Umansky, her daughter Farrah Aldjufrie weighed in on rumors that her mother and stepfather were splitting up.
In April, 34-year-old Farrah referred to the gossip as nothing more than “stories” when she addressed the rumor during an appearance at her mother’s National Alliance on Mental Illness event in West Hollywood.
“My reaction, I mean, these are stories,” she shared Page six.
“This is what always happens. People are going to find something and try to make a story out of it.
“And I feel like we’ve already been through so much at this point. I mean, who cares?’

Her mother also spoke of rumors at the same party, saying that the speculation all started after she was photographed at the gym without her wedding ring.
Richards denied that marital problems weren’t the reason she went without the ring as she spoke to Page Six at the bash.
“It all started with a stupid picture of me without a ring,” Richards said of her Feb. 15 outing.
At the event — in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the Fleur Room — Richards said she didn’t want to wear the expensive piece of jewelry amid the rising crime rate in her native Los Angeles, as well as the logistics of the ring that would keep her lifting weights in the gym hinders.
“I didn’t wear my big diamond ring because there’s a lot of crime these days and I thought, ‘I’m not comfortable,'” Richards said. “And B, I just got out of the gym lifting weights, so I thought, ‘That’s what caused that?’ Don’t know.’
Richards told the outlet that with more than a decade on the badass Bravo, she’s grown a thick skin for rumors of her marriage to Umansky.
“If this stuff came out sooner, I’d want to cry and I was devastated,” Richards told the outlet. “But now I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Come on. Come on. Let’s see what you got me here.'”
Split: It was reported on Monday that Kyle and Mauricio had split on Monday after 27 years of marriage
Raising eyebrows: Richards got people talking after she was spotted without her wedding ring on Feb. 15
Richards said the rumors of martial combat – which are central to the upcoming season of RHOBH – were “really frustrating” and caused her anxiety on the subject.
“Of course you don’t like that because when the show airs in six months, I’m going to have to deal with this,” she said of the series, which is expected to air on Bravo this fall. “And people start talking again and more fake stories and lies.”
Umansky also spoke on the subject on the April 10th edition of the podcast a week earlier Two T’s in a Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judgewho called the speculation “so stupid” as he claimed there were no marital problems.
“That one stupid story that came out there, and then all the girls, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and now it’s a storyline,” he said on the podcast.
He added, “So there are definitely some stories and Kyle and I are tackling it and we’re taking it from there. It is what it is.’
Happier times: the duo pictured in 2018 together
People announced the news Monday that Richards and Umansky were separating after 27 years of marriage.
The couple subsequently released a statement denying that they were separating, but not separating.
“As for the news that has come out about us today… All allegations about our separation are untrue,” the statement began.
‘But yes, we’ve had a tough year. The most challenging of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other very much. Nobody did anything wrong.’
They continued, “While we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to resolve our issues privately.
“While it may be entertaining to speculate, please don’t create false stories to fit an otherwise salacious narrative.”
They concluded with “Thanks for the love and support,” as they signed the letter, Kyle & Mauricio.
Richards and Umansky “have been separated for a while but still live under the same roof,” an insider told People Monday. “They remain friendly as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
