Kyle Richards blasts Lisa Vanderpump for implying she was faking a happy marriage to Mauricio Umansky: ‘An absolute lie and she knows that’

Kyle Richards slammed Lisa Vanderpump for insinuating that she misrepresented her marriage to Mauricio Umansky before their divorce.

Vanderpump, 63, recently claimed that several castmates were said to be outwardly very happy in their relationships before announcing their split — which Richards took offense to.

Although she did not identify who she was talking about, Richards, 55, clearly believes she was the one being referred to.

She was asked about Vanderpump’s comments on Amazon Live and responded by paraphrasing what Lisa had said: “Oh, you know these people who are happy on the show and call each other love bean and this and that, oh please, no one is that happy Then you find out they’re breaking up,” she started.

“Like trying to imply that when I, you know, showed myself to be happy, that I actually wasn’t — which is an absolute lie, and she knows it,” she explained.

‘She just does that to be really mean. And then she goes on to say, “I’m not saying who I’m talking about. I would never do something like that.” This is always what she does,” she added.

Lisa made the comments this week during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

The entrepreneur revealed that she was aware of infidelity before it came to light, but decided not to say anything.

“Well, there was someone recently who had this kind of complicated scenario on one of the shows – I’m not going to tell you that [which show it was] – and I kind of knew it. I knew it,” Vanderpump admitted.

“Sometimes people don’t want to hear it,” she added.

It comes as two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couples — Kyle and Mauricio and Dorit Kemsley and husband PK — recently split.

For years, Lisa juggled roles on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and its spin-off Vanderpump Rules.

In March 2023, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval’s nine-year relationship imploded when it was discovered that he had been having an affair with castmate Rachel Leviss.

Jax Taylor has been accused of cheating on estranged wife Brittany Cartwright as their crumbling marriage unfolds on Vanderpump Rules spin-off The Valley.

However, the British-born reality TV personality did not specify which unfaithful partner she was aware of.

While host Alex pressed for names while mentioning Kyle and Dorit, the Bravolebrity remained coy: “No, you don’t guess, do or say anything because that’s not a headline I live with. So no, it’s neither. That could be the case, but it isn’t.’

She pondered, “You know what I find surprising? They’re on a reality show and they’re living their lives – and of course all marriages have problems – but then suddenly they get divorced, but they’re like, “Oh, love bean. My king. Or my this or my That.”

‘Life isn’t like that. You have two imperfect people living together and that’s nonsense.’

Lisa added, “How many times have you seen this? Especially on that show I used to be on. How many times was it the case that, “Everything is going great, fine,” and then, “Oh, we’re getting a divorce.” Oh okay. Or, ‘Oh, we broke up, we broke up,’ when it’s been going on for months and years.”

And Lisa claimed she had no idea about Sandoval and Leviss’ scandal, which was later dubbed “Scandoval.”

“Oh God, no, no. I didn’t know,” Vanderpump said. “I once said in the kitchen, ‘Mrs. Malibu is in the jacuzzi?’ And I said, “That’s not okay.”

“And Ariana was loud when she said, ‘No, no, no. She’s my girlfriend. That’s fine with me.’ And I said, “Well, I wouldn’t approve of that.”

“What if I was on the other side of town and Mrs. Malibu was in the jacuzzi with my husband while I was gone? No, that’s not okay.’

“If I had known, I wouldn’t have said that,” she noted. “And I wouldn’t have tolerated that either.”
