But Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson seem to be doing something right, as they’ve been crowned the most listened-to breakfast show in Sydney.
Kyle and Jackie posted on their Instagram on Thursday after hearing the news, thanking their loyal listeners.
They wrote, ‘Thank you for making us Sydney’s breakfast show! We love and appreciate each of our listeners, it’s all thanks to you.”
The Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM still holds the title of the number one breakfast show in Sydney, according to the second 2023 Gfk survey conducted for Commercial Radio Australia.

It holds 15.1 percent of the market share, but this is down 0.8 percent from the latest Gfk survey, the radio show’s best-ever result.
Although Kyle and Jackie have positioned themselves as the king and queen of breakfast radio in Sydney, KIIS FM has fallen to become the second most listened-to station in the city.
2GB has reclaimed the number one spot as it holds 11.8 percent of the market share, while KIIS FM is 0.3 points behind with 11.5 percent.
After hearing the news, Kyle and Jackie wrote on their Instagram on Thursday, “Thank you for making us Sydney’s breakfast show!”
In the first Gfk survey of 2023, conducted from January 15 to February 25, KIIS FM knocked 2 GB off the top spot in Sydney for the first time in 18 years.
ARN, which owns stations across the country, including KIIS FM, has been crowned Australia’s number one network in the latest survey.
Duncan Campbell, ARN’s chief content officer, said of the results: ‘Another great research result for ARN, especially in Sydney, where Kyle and Jackie O continue to cement their position as the greatest radio show ever.
“The pair took the top spot again with a 2GB lead, while also achieving a record 854,000 listeners.

Listeners of Sydney’s first breakfast show congratulated the radio duo on the news.
Commenting on their Instagram post, one listener commented, “Why would you listen to someone else kill me to the core. Kyle and Jackie O are always playing on my radio.”
While another wrote: ‘You guys are so good. Tell us if you’re not number 1! Well done!’
