Kyle and Jackie O left stunned after the controlling mom demanded her daughter terminate her pregnancy because she’s not married
A controlling mom who demanded her 20-year-old daughter terminate her pregnancy has left Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and Kyle Sandilands dumbfounded.
The woman, named Cathy, called in The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday and revealed she pressured her daughter to have an abortion.
Cathy argued that at 20, her daughter was simply too young to raise a child.
Jackie, who was shocked by the admission, argued, ‘She’s 20 years old, Cathy. That’s old.’
Cathy refused to comment on the matter, replying, “She has her whole life ahead of her. She lives at home.’

Cathy also confessed that she would allow her daughter to keep the baby if she married her partner, but said her daughter doesn’t like walking down the aisle.
Unimpressed, Jackie replied, “That’s a big step, Cathy, to say someone has to terminate their pregnancy because of an outdated belief.”
She added: “Ultimately it’s her decision and I don’t think you could ever tell your daughter to terminate her pregnancy. You don’t want to ruin your relationship with your daughter.”
Jackie’s co-host Kyle seemed more sympathetic to Cathy’s plight, so the pair invited listeners to call to voice their opinions.
The first caller, named Karen, burst into tears when she revealed that she had been pressured by her own mother to terminate a pregnancy at the age of 20 and was unable to have children afterwards due to medical complications.
“I’m 50 now and I regret doing it,” she said emotionally.

Not only did Karen admit she regretted the decision, she said her own mother also regrets it and has been in therapy about the fallout from the abortion.
However, another caller then weighed in and urged Cathy’s daughter to terminate the pregnancy.
The man, a father of two, said he worked two jobs and could barely support his family and wished he had established himself financially before having children.
He was followed by another caller, a woman, who was audibly outraged by the rumors of aborting the child.
“I had a child when I was 21 and I raised that child all by myself no matter how much cost no matter how hard it got and I had people against me for having the child,” she raged.
“I don’t regret that child for a moment!” she added, before getting into a shouting match with the male caller.
