Police are looking for the suspect who threatened employees of a Kroger supermarket and stabbed an employee to death.
The fatal incident began around 10:30 a.m. Thursday when the unknown man entered the Waynedale store in Fort Wayne, Indiana and began threatening them.
The man then left the store, but returned about 30 minutes later and stabbed a female employee, Fort Wayne police said.
The suspect then fled the scene while the injured employee was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The identity of the work has not yet been released.

Officers further confirmed that there is no connection between the victim and the suspect, but “there may have been some words exchanged,” said Sgt. Jeremy Webb told WANE
Authorities said the brutal attack appeared to be a “targeted incident” and that “there is no ongoing threat to the public.”

Store officials said the Kroger store on Bluffton Road is closed until further notice.
“The Kroger family is saddened by the terrible news we hear. The safety of our employees and customers is always our priority. At this time, our team is working with law enforcement to assist in the investigation in any way possible,” Kroger's Manager of Corporate Affairs for the Central Division told WANE.
Police are still looking for the man who allegedly drove away in a car after the attack.

Sergeant Webb said officers are also in the process of gathering a description of the male suspect and “exhausting every lead,” according to the news release.
The Allen County Coroner's Office will release the identity and cause of death of the stabbed woman.
Kroger did not respond to questions about the employee, including how long she worked at the store.
