Kristy and Brett Beams shocked viewers on Sunday night when they unleashed a brutal rant about their winnings of just $65,000 at The Block auction.
And it was their auctioneer Sam Inan who found himself in the line of fire when the couple, both 34, blamed the estate agent for their dismal earnings.
After being publicly humiliated by the South Australian couple, the Melbourne real estate agent has hit back at their scathing criticism.
“When I talked to some buyers who didn’t bid on our properties, they said they didn’t see the value of our homes, period,” he said. Domain after the auction.
‘It had nothing to do with whether they were cheap or affordable on the day. They just didn’t like them.’

Sam went on to say there was ‘no money left in the room’ after Adrian Portelli dropped millions on House 4 (Steph and Gian) and House 5 (Eliza and Liberty).
During the whirlwind finale, Kristy and Brett also berated Sam for revealing that their reserve price was set at $2.9 million instead of opening bids at $3.2 million.
‘Well what the hell? You mentioned high twos, we talked about starting the bid at $3.2 million? Mate, I can’t believe that just went away,” Brett told the officer.

Host Scott Cam also stopped by to criticize the auctioneer, saying, “You probably set the tone by listing $2.9 million at the beginning.
‘That was on everyone’s mind. We simply don’t mention anything. We know what the others were going for.”
But Sam shifted the blame to Consumer Affairs Victoria, claiming the government agency had a representative who harassed him into revealing the minimum price.

He said: ‘They followed me at the break and said, “You better make sure you repeat that it’s on the market – I don’t think everyone heard you.”
Tensions were high during the Season 19 auction, with Kristy and Brett lashing out after making only a small profit on their house compared to other teams.
The couple seemed heartbroken when they learned their home sold for just $3,035,000 – just $65,000 above the reserve price.
“Australia got what they wanted,” Kristy snapped, while Brett said the “tax-free” $65,000 they won “doesn’t cover” the wages they gave up to appear on the show.
