Chenoweth is best known for her portrayal of Glinda in the original Wicked Broadway musical, with Ariana Grande taking over the iconic role for the hit film adaptation.
Grande was just 10 when she met Chenoweth backstage during the original Broadway run of Wicked, revealing that she gave her “a little magical body wash,” complete with a “little magic wand.”
‘I think it’s magical, because look where we are now!’ Grande told the outlet.
She explained that her grandmother took her to meet the show’s original cast members backstage in 2003.
“I loved it so much,” she said of the musical. ‘My chemistry as a person has changed permanently.’
Grande added that she thought about her life in “two chapters,” before seeing Wicked and after.
