Kristin Cavallari calls the Kardashian family ‘fake’ after friendship with Kourtney crumbled

Kristin Cavallari opened up about the origins of her feud with the Kardashian family during an appearance on the Bunnie XOs podcast Stupid blonde.

It’s been more than a decade since she and her former close friend Kourtney Kardashian, 45, had a falling out.

There is no love lost between The Hills star, 37, and the Kardashians empire as she calls them “calculated” and “fake” and blames Scott Disick for the beef.

Kristin – who is already dating someone new following her divorce from Morgan Estes – knew Scott from her friend group when she was in her early 20s and also dated Brody Jenner for a while.

“Scott and Kourtney started dating. That’s how I met Kourtney,” Cavallari said. “I fucking loved Kourtney. We were really good friends.’

Then Scott and Kourtney briefly broke up and Kristin headed to Las Vegas with some of her guy friends.

“Scott happened to be one of the guys who came. We were always just friends,” the reality TV star continued.

“He was devastated about Kourtney, and we all dated. We had a good time. I was never even alone with Scott.”

The next morning, all the tabloids reported that Kristin and Scott had hooked up.

“I was like, ‘What the hell?’ she said, suggesting that Scott may have planted the story in an attempt to “make Kourtney jealous.”

“Kourtney was really upset about it, and I remember being on the phone with Kourtney and saying, ‘Kourtney, you know that’s not true. I would never touch Scott,'” Cavallari said.

“She said, ‘Well, I don’t know. I just know I have sisters, and I would never put myself in that situation.’

Scott and Kourtney eventually got back together before breaking up for good in 2015, but that incident ended Kristin’s friendship with Kourtney.

“Scott must have said it was true or something because all Scott would have needed was, ‘That’s not true,'” Kristin claimed. “That was my problem too.”

All these years later, Cavallari doesn’t feel like she’s still feuding with the Kardashians.

Until Disick randomly contacted her after she mentioned the Kardashians on her podcast.

“I went on my podcast and was just talking about the Kardashians like it was nothing special,” Cavallari said.

“And then after 15 years or something, Scott Disick sends me a DM saying, ‘I miss you. We should hang out sometime.”

She continued, “It felt so calculated to me. And this is what the Kardashians and a lot of people in Hollywood do: if you talk out there, they want to shut you up.

“So you keep your friends close and your enemies closer. And I don’t play that game. It’s so fake to me,” she added.

During the same interview, Kristin opened up about her ex-husband, former NFL player Jay Cutler, 41.

The former couple, who share sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, nine, split in 2020 after seven years of marriage.

Although she has “no regrets,” she called their relationship “toxic.”

“When you’re dealing with a pathological liar, it’s hard to know what the damn truth is,” the businesswoman said.

Adding, “People who lie or cheat on you, it’s because they’re hurt. That’s about them. That has nothing to do with me,” she noted.

‘There are things about my marriage that I will never know and I just had to let it go. I’m over it now and that’s probably why I can talk about it so freely now,” Kristin said.
