Kristen Wiig revives her iconic Target Lady character from her SNL days for epic superstore ad

Kristen Wiig returns to her roots for a brand partnership to put an end to all spon-con deals.

The 50-year-old Saturday Night Live alum reprized her sketch comedy character, the Target Lady, for a new ad the superstore teased on Tuesday for Target Circle Week.

‘HOLD YOUR CARTS! Target Lady is back for #TargetCircleWeek, 7-4-4-13,” the company posted Instagram with a taste. ‘Set your alarm and save automatically with thousands of deals.’

The clip starts with a close-up of Wiig waking up with her cuckoo clock, which has a matching bowl.

Wiig takes off her red Target eye mask before putting on her Target flip-flops.

She then jumps onto the conveyor belt at the cash register, which serves as a treadmill.

The comedian changes into her mom jeans and pulls out one of dozens of identical red cardigans from her closet before touching up her colorless lipstick and bowl cut.

Wiig then shops for breakfast at her home store and sits down to eat with her cardboard cutout colleagues.

She grabs her keys and then crawls into a hole in the wall of her garage, hidden behind a Target sign.

Target Circle Week kicks off after Wiig returns to her alma mater SNL for a hosting gig on April 6 with musical guest Raye.

Wiig will also join the Five Timers Club for the upcoming performance, which marks her fifth time hosting the show.

The Target Lady is an over-enthusiastic employee of the chain who is known for annoying her customers and running away to find an item that suddenly catches her attention.

After her seven-season tenure ended in 2012, Wiig went on to star in films such as Ghostbusters (2016), Downsizing (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).

In 2020, she married comedian Avi Rothman after four years of dating.

That same year, they welcomed her twins, Shiloh and Luna, via a surrogate.

Wiig can currently be seen on Apple TV+’s Palm Royale, with new episodes airing on Wednesdays.
