Kourtney Kardashian shares a message about trusting God… two weeks after undergoing emergency fetal surgery
Kourtney Kardashian is reflecting after undergoing emergency fetal surgery earlier this month.
The 44-year-old founder of Poosh posted a page with texts that she found particularly moving for the place where she is now.
The excerpt is attributed to 1 Peter 5:6 – 7; Proverbs 16:9 and Psalms 37:5 and talks about trying to control the world around you.
The mother of three – who is already getting into the Halloween spirit – captioned the post: “This is one I’m still working on but it’s absolutely true.”
The verse began, “You will not find my peace by engaging in excessive planning: trying to control what will happen to you in the future. That is a common form of disbelief.’

“When your mind is spinning with multiple plans, peace sometimes seems within your reach, yet it always eludes you. Just when you think you’re prepared for all possibilities, something unexpected pops up and confuses things,” he continues.
“I did not design the human mind to understand the future. That is beyond your capabilities.
“I created your mind for constant communication with Me. Bring Me all your needs, your hopes and fears. Entrust everything to My care. Turn from the path of planning to the path of peace.”
The reality TV star found some comfort in that verse after her emergency fetal surgery.
Her husband, Travis Barker, 47, was on tour with his band Blink-182 when Kourtney suffered a medical emergency.
The band postponed part of their European tour so he could rush home to be by his wife’s side.
Nearly two weeks ago, the Kardashians star shared a black and white photo of her holding Barker’s hand as she lay in a hospital bed, revealing to her 224 million Instagram followers what she had been through.
She captioned the post, “I will forever be grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side after the tour to be with me in the hospital and then take care of me, my rock. And to my mother, thank you for holding my hand through this.

Kourtney admitted she wasn’t “prepared” for “the fear of having to undergo emergency fetal surgery” after experiencing smooth pregnancies in the past.
‘I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear.
“I gained a whole new understanding and respect for the mothers who had to fight for their babies during pregnancy,” she explained.
‘God be praised. Walking out of the hospital with my son in my belly and safe was the biggest blessing,” she closed the post, adding an emoji of praying hands and a heart.
