Kotak Mutual Fund (MF) on Monday announced the launch of Kotak Special Opportunities Fund. The plan will try to take advantage of the uncertainties at the level of the economy, sector and companies. “(The fund) aims to generate long-term capital growth by investing in equities and equity-related securities of companies that benefit from various special situations, such as company-specific events, corporate restructuring, government policy changes, regulatory changes, technology-driven caused disruptions or businesses experiencing temporary but unique challenges, etc.
The fund would look for such opportunities within the market capitalization. Since such opportunities can arise in different sectors, the portfolio is likely to be diversified,” the fund house said. The new fund offering (NFO) will remain open for subscription until June 24.
