Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka, 7, throws first pitch at Dodgers game in honor of late NBA icon on his birthday weekend

Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka threw out the first pitch at Sunday’s Dodgers game in memory of her late father on what would have been his 46th birthday.

Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, when the Lakers legend was 41.

And as Bryant was celebrated for the second straight day at Dodger Stadium, Bianka — who was at the game with her mother (and Bryant’s widow) Vanessa — threw out a heartwarming first pitch, which the crowd responded with a huge round of applause.

Vanessa proud the moment posted on Instagram, with the text ‘That’s my BB’

In another post she wrote, “Thank you @dodgers for supporting our @mambamambacitasports foundation. LA Love.”

Vanessa, Bianka and her and Bryant’s daughters Natalia, 21, and Capri, 5, all received Dodgers jerseys featuring both of Bryant’s famous jersey numbers (No. 8 and No. 24).

According to PEOPLEThose in attendance at the game also received special Bryant shirts themed after the basketball legend’s nickname “Black Mamba” (Vanessa and her children also reportedly received the black shirts).

Bianka’s touching moment took place a day after Kobe Bryant Day in Los Angeles, on August 24.

Dodgers fans attending their team’s game that day were also reportedly gifted Showtime Lakers T-shirts, while franchise icons such as James Worthy were also in attendance.

The Lakers also recently unveiled a statue of Bryant and Gianna outside Crypto.com Arena.

Vanessa unveiled the bronze statue, titled “Girl Dad,” earlier this month during a private ceremony outside the Lakers’ arena.

The plaque beneath the statue — which shows Bryant planting a kiss on Gianna’s head — reads: “Gianna is a beast. She’s better than I was at her age. She’s got it. Girls are amazing. I’d have five more girls if I could. I’m a girl dad.”
