Knife-wielding FOX employee RUNS AMOK inside the famed Los Angeles studio lot

A Fox employee armed with a knife threatened to harm colleagues and herself when she ran amok on the third floor of the historic Los Angeles studio lot.

Los Angeles Police Department officials told DailyMail.com that the female employee, possibly in her 30s, “became aggressive” when approached by security guards around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Dispatchers said the unidentified woman was initially seen outside the Fox Studio complex in the 10200 block of West Pico in the Century City area.

According to LAPD dispatch, she “ran into a traffic jam and jumped in front of vehicles” before entering the Fox building.

Once inside the building, the woman brandished the knife at the guards and threatened other employees.

She then locked herself in a room on the third floor and threatened to harm herself, according to local Fox 11 News.

Fox Studios employees were told to stay away during the incident.

The woman eventually put down the knife and was restrained by officers, LAPD spokesman Officer David Cuellar told DailyMail.com.

The knife was confiscated by the police.

No injuries were reported and the woman was transported to a nearby LAPD station, Cuellar said.

The Los Angeles Fox lot, known as “Movietone City,” houses 15 sound stages, executive offices and television and film production in approximately 1.8 million square feet of building space.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, several blockbuster movies and TV shows have been filmed on the historic site, including ABC’s Modern Family, Speechless and Fresh Off the Boat.

Classic films such as Planet of the Apes and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes have been filmed on site, as have cult classics such as Alien Resurrection and the Die Hard series.
