Kmart shoppers go wild over $20 item that’s a ‘ fab dupe’ of popular $179 buy: ‘Absolutely love these’
Kmart Australia shoppers have put their best foot forward with a ‘super comfortable’ pair of sandals for just $20 – and it’s a $179 ‘dupe’ of a popular brand.
Fashion blogger behind Kmart Insider noted that the budget retailer’s ‘three-way’ adjustable sandals look almost identical to Country Road’s Lottie Sandal.
“I can guarantee the Kmart ones are downright comfortable,” she said on Instagram.
Despite the huge price difference, the cheaper pair is made of polyurethane suede and synthetic materials, while the expensive sandals are made of leather.
However, some shoppers explained that the versatile $20 open-toed sandals are a great, affordable alternative, especially for those who can’t afford to spend hundreds.
The budget-friendly shoes are flying off the shelves, and are perfect for summer, whether it’s a day at the beach or a casual look at work.
‘Amazing. “I absolutely love them, they are so comfortable,” said one.
“What a fantastic dupe,” another insisted.

‘I love this one. I took them to Thailand and walked around in them – super comfortable and I love that they are stylish too. Well done Kmart,” one raved.
‘Agreed. So comfortable,” another added.
Earlier this month, fashion-conscious shoppers, reluctant to spend hundreds of dollars on luxury brands, discovered a $25 item from Kmart that closely resembled a $595 designer version.
The budget retailer is now selling a pair of white Buckle Slingback Ballet Flats, with customers noting the resemblance to Ganni’s buckled ballerinas.
Both pointed-toe flats have similar features, including metal eyelets, buckle closures, and low-stacked heels.
Upon closer inspection, Kmart’s shoes have a single row of metal eyelets on each strap, while the Danish fashion brand’s off-white version has two rows.

Bargain hunters have confirmed that the cheaper flats are ‘so comfortable’, while others shared they are ‘running’ to Kmart to get their hands on a pair.
“I tried these on, they were really comfortable,” said one.
“Love the crisp white on the Kmart side,” said another excitedly.
“So cute,” someone added.
“OMG I’m running,” another shared.
