Kmart shopper receives a bent hula hoop in home delivery order
Kmart shopper leaves internet in hysterics over ‘incredible’ find in delivery order: ‘This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen’
- A mom couldn’t believe what she got in her Kmart delivery
- The hula hoop she had ordered was deformed to fit in the box
A customer has left hundreds of people in hysterics after sharing what she found in her Kmart delivery slip.
Mama Ella ordered several products, including hanging files, ribbon, a wooden storage box, mindfulness stacking stones and a hula hoop.
But when the package arrived at her doorstep, she was shocked to find that the $5 hula hoop had been deformed to fit the cardboard box.
When sharing an image on a popular Facebook group, the striped product was folded and no longer usable.
Something for a Saturday night laugh! I ordered a hula hoop for my kids at work and that’s how it arrived,” Ella wrote.
Fortunately, she gave the Kmart employee the benefit of the doubt and said, “Maybe the poor packer was having a rough day.”
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Kmart for comment.
Mama Ella had ordered several products from Kmart, including a green hula hoop. When the package arrived, she was shocked to find that the product had been bent out of shape to fit the cardboard box (pictured)
Not only did the situation make Ella hysterical, but others also laughed after seeing the photo.
“Omg this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!” one wrote, the other said, “I love that you laugh as much as you frustrate.”
“I’ve never laughed so hard at a post,” a third added.
Another wrote: “If you don’t laugh, you will cry.”
A customer also claimed that the same thing happened to her a few years ago.
After sharing an image on Facebook, one person asked if it was still functional, but Ella said, “Unfortunately, I couldn’t bend it back into shape.”
“Does it still work like a hula hoop?” one person asked, and Ella replied, ‘Unfortunately I wasn’t able to bend it back into shape – it wasn’t even remotely round’.
“I hope you sent them this photo and you get your money back,” said another.
Meanwhile, others were unimpressed and would have been disappointed if they had received the same delivery.
“Common sense doesn’t grow in everyone’s garden… this just proves it,” one claimed.
Another wrote, “Frankly, Kmart should just remove their delivery option.”
A Kmart spokesman said: 7Life: “At Kmart, we want everyone who visits us in store or online to have an enjoyable shopping experience and we are disappointed to learn that this did not happen on this occasion.
“We would like to thank the customer for bringing it to our attention so that we can work on improving these processes in the future.
“We encourage any customer experiencing a problem with their online order to contact our customer service.”
