Kmart Australia fans obsess over $40 dupe of iconic $5600 Celine jacket: ‘It’s flawless’

Kmart has quietly launched a brand new, stylish black boucle jacket that would look perfect on the streets of Paris. It’s already sold out in stores across Australia.

The $40 garment is elegantly tailored and made from the chic woven bouclé fabric that Chanel suits have become famous for.

It features long sleeves, a button closure at the front and faux pocket flaps with button detail.

The timeless and classic jacket is ideal for formal occasions, but also to complete jeans and everyday outfits.

Bouclé jackets have been a true fashion classic since Coco Chanel launched her own version in 1950.

Fans have noted that the Kmart jacket is a near-perfect replica of Celine’s coveted boucle tweed hunting jacket, also in black. It retails for a whopping $5,600.

Celine’s version is made of wool and cotton, but Kmart’s version is made of polyester, viscose, acrylic and nylon, making it much lighter to wear and much more attractively priced.

Instagram account Kmartinsider shared the incredible new find with his followers, who were eager to get their hands on this stylish specimen.

“Kmart is the best,” said one fan.

“OMG I’m running to the website,” agreed another.

One woman said enthusiastically, “Perfection, and what a bargain!”

“So buy…run, don’t walk,” said another.

People couldn’t believe how ‘flawless and polished’ the Kmart jacket was.

One fan felt the classic black jacket should be released in other colours, specifically a cream version, which would look ‘divine’.

Customers noted that Target sells a similar boucle jacket in both cream and black for $60.

This isn’t the first time Kmart has thrilled fans with clever knockoffs of higher-end designer goods.

Their colorful version of the Stanley cups, which retail for $80 and cost $15, was a huge hit with fans and created a buying frenzy.
