Kmart Australia has released a luxury Christmas tree that looks like an expensive version that costs nine times as much.
The department store’s new $129 Snowy Pre-lit Christmas Tree launched in stores last week as part of its 2024 Christmas range.
The affordable purchase stands 213cm tall, mimics the look of snow-covered branches and has 200 built-in LED lights to make installation easier and faster.
It also looks almost identical to the Balsam Hill Frosted Fraser Fit Tree, priced at $1199, reduced from $1699.
This option is slightly higher, 229 cm high, and is also designed with a matte look.
It’s built with several LED lighting options and has a completely ‘silhouette’ look with more branches compared to the Kmart tree.
In previous years, the Kmart purchase was a hit with shoppers who were impressed with how it looks.
‘I was very impressed with how easy it was to put together, and very little “snow” fell on the floor. What a bargain!’ someone wrote on Facebook.
