Kmart Australia secretly brings back one of its best ever selling winter gadgets – and it’s only $39

Kmart Australia has relaunched its hugely popular heated blanket in stores, just in time for winter.

The Sherpa Heated Throw has been described as ‘elite’ by customers who have already got their hands on the affordable purchase, which acts as a cheaper alternative to regular heaters.

The bedspread, which cost just $39, quietly returned to shelves and shoppers bragged about their purchase on social media.

Sophie from Sydney quickly bought the throw last week, calling it ‘the best money she’s ever spent’.

“Honestly, go to Kmart and buy one of these heated sherpa throws. I’m so cozy,” she said in a TikTok while wrapped in the blanket.

‘The temperature has dropped below 30 degrees [Celsius] in Sydney and I’m thinking, it’s hibernation time and winter is here,” Sophie said.

“I have this blanket and I’m never leaving the house again.”

The product consumes only 100 W, while a standard heater often consumes as much as 2,000 W, which can quickly increase the electricity bill.

The Kmart version is also very cheap compared to others on the market, which can range between $55 and $199.

It is designed with a detachable controller, variable heat settings and a 12-hour timer.

Last month, customers also noticed the return of the “must-have” $20 OXX Essentials Microwave Slippers, but not everyone was on board.

Bella, from Adelaide, spotted the latest purchase while browsing her local store and grabbed a few.

“Kmart has done it again with microwave safe slippers for winter,” she wrote on TikTok, sharing a now-viral video.

The short video quickly caught the attention of the masses, with many declaring that they “can’t wait to run to Kmart.”

However, a large number of others wondered why anyone would want to put slippers in the microwave where food is placed.
