Kmart Australia has released a new curling iron that fans are saying is a ‘copy’ of the popular Dyson Airwrap. The curling iron has already sold out online.
The Air Styler costs $59 and promises to give you salon-like curls and waves at home.
The styling tool comes with four attachments, three heat and speed settings and a self-cleaning function.
Brittany, who hails from the Gold Coast, shared a TikTok showing how to use the tool and was impressed with the results.
The 29-year-old has never used a Dyson Airwrap before, but loves the bouncy curls of the Kmart styling tool.
“I can’t say no because I would never pay that much money for a Dyson,” Brittany said in the clip.
She doesn’t even know ‘who can afford Dyson in this economy’.
Although it was a learning experience figuring out how to use the beauty products, she was thrilled with the purchase.
Brittany, who was “obsessed” with the airstyler’s results, bought the device when it was $69. Kmart is now offering it for $59.
One fan thought Brittany’s “old Hollywood curls” even looked better than the Dyson’s.
“I’ve been waiting for this day! I knew Anko was working hard in the labs to make this,” said one excited fan.
Another was shocked when he saw Brittany’s video, having paid a whopping sum for the Dyson model last week.
A third Kmart fan with long, thick hair bragged about the “chef’s kiss” product on Facebook. When she went to look for it, it wasn’t even on the shelves.
“A Kmart employee asked me what I was looking for, she walked out and found one. It wasn’t even processed to be on the shelves yet, these are going to sell out so fast,” the shopper said.

The woman had previously used the Dyson model, which costs more than ten times as much as the Kmart one, and confidently declared there was “no difference at all”.
While someone said the Dyson Airwrap promises to protect your hair from heat damage, she couldn’t deny that the Kmart Air Styler was a much more attractive buy at that price.
“Thanks for sharing, I’ll buy it now,” she said.
“Come into my hot hands,” said another.
