Spinning engine: Kitten miraculously survives 140 km road trip getting stuck under the hood of a BMW with the driver only pulling over after noticing a strange noise

A lucky kitten miraculously survived a two-hour car ride trapped in the engine bay.
The motorist, traveling in their BMW hatchback from Lithgow in the Central Tablelands to Sydney, began hearing strange cries in their car and stopped at Roslyn Gardens Street in Kings Cross around 9pm on Saturday.
The driver opened the hood and was shocked to discover a small gray kitten.
It is clear that the kitten got stuck before the driver had left for the 90 miles (140 km) journey.

NSW Police and NSW RSPCA inspectors were called to the streets and began working to free the kitten.
An officer stood at the front of the vehicle while two police officers worked from below.
The trio used flashlights and a camera to help them locate the kitten before removing the frightened animal.
A police spokesman said: “Police used airbags to lift the car and an inspection camera to locate it inside the vehicle.”
A small number of people gathered to watch the rescue, with onlookers helping police lure the kitten out of the car.

“The animal was placed in a cage and a cat-friendly bystander took the kitten and is proceeding with a vet,” the spokesperson added.

It survived the ordeal without injury.
The owners of the kittens have not yet been found.
