KitKat shocks fans after teaming up with iconic Aussie brand: ‘It’s bonkers’

KitKat’s chocolatiers have teamed up with ice cream giant Peters to create a Drumstick flavored chocolate bar. Fans claim it’s the best yet.

The fun collaboration is inspired by ‘sweet memories of summer’ and was released in the winter, just as warm weather nostalgia is taking hold across Australia.

The new KitKat is a twist on the iconic chocolate waffle, topped with a double dose of velvety vanilla and rich chocolate sauce, with caramel-like wafers, covered in a thick chocolate layer.

And it’s been described by chocolate lovers and ice cream aficionados as the best way to enjoy the taste of the iconic Aussie Drumstick without having to worry about it ‘melting into a drippy mess’.

This coveted collaboration is circulating in Australia and is available in a long and thinner block version, as well as the thick bar version.

This flavor clash of two popular classics is scoring big on social media, with fans describing it as ‘insane’.

Chocoholics who tasted the surprising flavor for the first time were very positive about the new delicacy.

“That tastes just like the drumstick cone, it gives me goosebumps, wow, it just went into my brain. That’s the best KitKat I’ve ever had,” said one fan.

The chocolate is currently available at Woolworths and will be available in other stores in Australia from the end of July.
