Kirsten Dunst interview about ‘awkward’ kiss with Brad Pitt when she was 11 angers Hollywood fans
Kirsten Dunst kissed Brad Pitt while filming Interview With The Vampire when she was just 11 years old, and an interview surfaced is causing a stir among film fans.
In the clip, she describes feeling “uncomfortable” kissing the then 31-year-old, and her assessment of the scene hasn’t grown more generous in the years since.
The 1994 film was Kirsten’s breakthrough, as she played a 10-year-old girl named Claudia who is turned into a vampire by Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad) and Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise).
In the interview, which circulates almost 30 years later via TikTokKirsten explains how “awkward” she found the scene because “he’s a man, so why should I enjoy kissing him?”
After being immediately questioned about it again, the then 12-year-old reiterated, “Brad is 31, I mean, he’s not exactly a boy.”

TikTok users who watch the surfaced clip generally agree, with one saying, “The fact that she had to explain?”
Many reflected on the interview and filmed themselves as “wild” and “crazy” that a child would play such a role with someone 20 years older than them.
Another comment read, “They expected her to have a different answer?”
Obviously, this isn’t a recent development, as Kirsten has faced questions about the scene in many interviews in the years since Interview With The Vampire.
During that time, the actress has achieved great success, starring as Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman trilogy.
Speaking Conan in 2014, Kirsten said, “I thought it was disgusting.
“I was 11, it would have been weird if I thought ‘this is great.'”
She also told Vanity purse in 2021 that it was “the worst thing” about filming the movie, in addition to biting the neck of an actor who was apparently sweating at the time.
However, she clarified: “Furthermore, I was treated like a real princess on that set.”
She’s also been clear that there are no hard feelings towards the Fight Club star, who was “on set like my older brother.”
No hard feelings: Dunst has consistently made it clear that Brad was ‘just like my older brother’ on set, despite the awkward scene
