Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield have both done their part to ensure that the victims of Hurricane Helene get the help they need in the aftermath of the catastrophe left by the storm.
Hurricane Helene tore through the southeastern states of the US last week, leaving millions of Americans reeling from its devastating effects.
After the disastrous hurricane ripped through the country, more than 130 people were killed and millions lost power as emergency services continue to save lives, and the full extent of the damage is not yet known.
The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks each donated $50,000 to Team Rubicon – a veteran-led humanitarian organization – to help hurricane victims.
“We stand with those who have been affected,” Mayfield said in a video shared by Cousins.

“To honor the lives lost and the families still in need. Together we can make a difference.’
Their combined donation of $100,000 came just hours before the two faced off on Week 5’s Thursday Night Football in Atlanta.
The two signal callers are not the first members of the NFL family to play a role in the United States’ recovery from the catastrophic fallout.
Several NFL factions have collectively donated $8 million to support communities decimated by Hurricane Helene this weekend, the league announced Monday.
Donors include Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who donated $2 million to World Central Kitchen through his foundation for Georgians affected by the storm.
David Tepper and his wife Nicole, the billionaire owners of the Carolina Panthers, gave $3 million in hurricane relief for recovery efforts in both North and South Carolina.

Both the Houston Texans and the Glazer family, which owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United, have committed $1 million each.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Helene, and the NFL is committed to doing our part to help affected communities recover,” said NFL Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the NFL Foundation Alexia Gallagher in a statement.
“The NFL is privileged to play a vital role in communities across the country, and we are proud to partner with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to provide critical resources and support to people in need.’
Emergency workers in North Carolina tried Monday to reach people who remained missing for three days after Hurricane Helene tore through the region.
States began a massive cleanup and recovery effort Sunday after wind, rain and storm surges destroyed roads and bridges, caused catastrophic flooding and left millions without power.

The devastation stretched across South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia – with officials fearing more bodies would be discovered.
After making landfall in Florida, Helene quickly passed through Georgia before drenching the Carolinas and Tennessee with heavy rain.
A small mountain town in North Carolina lies in ruins. Locals describe the community of Swannanoa as ‘completely obliterated’.
Over the weekend, estimates of damage caused by the hurricane ranged from $15 billion to more than $100 billion.
