Meet the glamorous blondes who partied with King Frederik during Denmark’s famous summer booze-up (and Queen Mary was nowhere to be seen)
King Frederick partied all night with two attractive blondes before ascending the throne. Queen Mary was nowhere to be seen.
The then Crown Prince met glamorous television star Janni Ree, 54, and her friend Camilla Dalsgaard, a dancer, at the Hyttefadet in the seaside town of Skagen last July.
Speaking to BT, the women said they met the royal at the bar and hit it off straight away, partying together all night long.
It was during the infamous ‘Week 29’, or Hellerup Week, in Denmark. During this time, wealthy young people flock to the town in their expensive cars and luxury boats for a week of fun and drinking.
Both women admitted they loved seeing the ‘party prince’ in action.
“Camilla and I ended up going to party with him. Just the three of us. It was crazy fun,” Janni revealed.
‘He wasn’t drunk, but he was cheerful and healthy. Very fresh indeed. He’s a very festive man.’
Her friend Camilla ‘laughed off the story’, saying it was pure coincidence that they happened to be in the city at the same time as the then Crown Prince.

“It was a lovely experience. It’s rare to go to the city and meet a royal,” Camilla said.
The week 29 party night came just months before the popular royal was spotted in Madrid with glamorous socialite Genoveva Casanova, 47.
The friends were photographed together by the Spanish magazine Lecturas, leading to wild rumors of an affair.
The Mexican-born socialite has vehemently denied having an affair with the crown prince, with the Danish palace saying only that it would not comment on the rumours.
In January, Queen Margrethe abdicated and King Frederick and Queen Mary took over the monarchy.
Their icy public displays fueled speculation that something was wrong in their relationship.
In May, the popular royals decided to continue working during their 20th wedding anniversary, much to the surprise of their fans.
