King Charles gets behind the wheel with Queen Camilla as they drive their trusty Audi to Crathie Kirk Church in Balmoral
The King and Queen showed their calmness today as they drove to church in Balmoral this morning.
Charles and Camilla, as the Queen and Prince Philip used to do, are enjoying an extended summer holiday – now until October – at their Scottish residence.
This morning the couple smiled at those gathered along the roadside on the short route from Balmoral to Crathie Kirk Church as they drove past in a regal Audi.
While the King, 74, opted for a smart tweed suit, Queen Camilla, 76, looked stylish in an emerald green beret and suit, with a white ruffled blouse.
Joining a royal procession, the royals traveled without an assistant in the car and seemed to enjoy chatting along the short route.

It’s been a busy week for Camilla, who attended the Braemar Literary Festival on Friday.
The King’s wife, 76, presented herself stylishly – again in emerald, wearing a patterned gown while attending dinner at The Fife Arms hotel in the Scottish Highlands.
She was joined by British actress Dame Judi Dench, 88, as well as bestselling authors William Boyd and Anthony Horowitz and critic Grace Dent.
The three-day festival – which runs until Sunday – is being held in the village of Highland in association with The Queen’s Reading Room, the book club founded by Camilla.
The online literary hub first launched in January 2021 and was inspired by the success of the then Duchess of Cornwall’s reading lists shared during the pandemic in 2020. It offers book recommendations and exclusive insight from the authors themselves.

When it comes to what meal is “fit for a queen,” Angela replied, “Anything and everything.”
She revealed that Camilla was ‘like every other guest she has ever cooked for’ and said: ‘Whatever is made for her, she will eat.’
Angela added: ‘I think when you get to a certain age, without being rude of course, and you’re as busy as she is with so many obligations, you’ll eat what’s simple and easy.’
