KIMBERLY Wyatt has revealed she wears every piece of clothing she buys at least 30 times before reselling it.
Pussycat Doll, 42, says she is an advocate of sustainable shopping and regularly buys her clothes from resale apps such as Depop.
Speaking to The Mail, she explained: ‘Sustainability has been a huge interest to me for a long time.
So it’s nice to be there, after more than a decade of campaigning and being kind of a conscious consumer, that we’ve gotten to a point where sustainability has also become a cool factor.
‘I have always been passionate about buying and selling through second-hand apps.
‘I think it’s a great way to close the circular economy and ensure that the garments you’ve always loved can find a second home.’

She continued, “If I’m going to a big red carpet event, renting is great.
‘I also love upcycling, which is great for those second-hand apps, because you see potential in them that others might not see.
‘And when I do buy it, I like to look at a piece of clothing and make sure I can wear it at least 30 times before I find the next home.
‘And I can’t keep up with the growth of my children. They can wear clothes for maybe six months before they start to get short sleeves in their legs.
‘I’ve always been a second-hand girl. My mother always took us to garage sales, and I was always abandoned by my siblings.
‘So I’ve always been a bit on that tip, and of course I have implemented that in my own life as a mother.
‘It’s much cooler to do all that second-hand shopping and passing on now.
Kimberly’s comments come as new research from Virgin Media O2 Business and Depop shows that 23.8 million Britons are turning to online platforms for second-hand sales, with more than two-thirds concerned about Christmas affordability.

Virgin Media O2 Business data also shows that second-hand sellers earn an average of £146 per month, £1,752 per year, enough to offset Britain’s average energy bill.
Asked if she feels pressure to wear new items on red carpets, the mother-of-three said: “I think the pressure is there whether I want to or not.
‘I have tried to avoid pressure in the past and felt it coming to me.
‘I think the rental apps have been an absolute godsend, it gives me new life knowing that I’m not just buying a piece of clothing for once.
When asked if she has sold items from when she was a Pussycat Doll, she told The Mail: ‘I’ve sold items that I’ve worn on red carpets, to events.
“I think there were some Pussycat Doll parts that I sold a few years ago. I like to create an almost second-hand experience so that they know that what they are buying has also had some sort of little adventure.
“Hopefully that will make it feel a lot more special when they get it.”

Last month, Kimberly revealed her world ‘crumbled’ when the Pussycat Dolls reunion was cancelled, leaving her broke.
Speaking at the Mile Fly Club with Laura Hamilton, Kimberly admitted she had cleared her schedule to make room for the reunion – but went into ‘panic mode’ when it was scrapped.
‘Three young children, paying school fees and all these things – it’s changed our world, we’ve had to change our whole lives because of it.
“You finish a lot of your work to clear all this space to get on the road, so when everything came crashing down it was panic mode.”
