Allegations against Kimberly Guilfoyle regarding sexual misconduct have come to renewed attention following the nomination of her US ambassador to Greece.
Lurid claims have already dogged Donald Trump’s cabinet-building process, including by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and now-withdrawn attorney general nominee Matt Gaetz.
Now, a complaint against Guilfoyle during her time on Fox News’ The Five has resurfaced after she was nominated for the plum job in Greece.
She was secretly forced out of her role at Fox in 2018 due to a “$4 million” sexual harassment settlement with her female assistant, who claimed the host exposed herself to her and showed her nude photos of men, according to a new report.
She denied the allegations in a 2020 statement.
“In my 30-year career in the SF District Attorney’s Office, the LA District Attorney’s Office, in the media and in politics, I have never engaged in workplace misconduct of any kind. Throughout my career, I have served as a mentor to countless women, many of whom I remain exceptionally close to today,” she said.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the Trump-Vance transition team for a statement.
Guilfoyle officially recognized her appointment as US ambassador to Greece on Wednesday, after it was announced that she and her fiancé Donald Trump Jr. stopped doing it.
The media has responded to the appointment of Kimberly Guilfoyle as United States ambassador to Greece by resurfacing allegations of sexual misconduct against the former Fox News host.
The media picked up on years of allegations of sexual misconduct by the former star of The Five that led to her removal from the network
When contacted by DailyMail.com, a Fox News spokesperson declined comment.
The charges follow those against Hegseth, who is still fighting for a spot leading the Pentagon, and Gaetz, who had to withdraw from the AG confirmation process.
Hegseth, a veteran, has again faced sexual assault allegations and claims he was drunk at work, both of which he has denied.
During meetings with senators on Capitol Hill, he has vowed to remain level-headed if his nomination to head the Pentagon is successful.
Gaetz’s stunning departure from consideration came as he faced new allegations of a threesome involving a minor.
At the same time, the House Ethics Committee was deadlocked over whether to release a report on his alleged sexual misconduct and illegal drug use.
Guilfoyle abruptly left her role as host of The Five in July 2018, several years before her contract expired, after twelve years with the network.
At the time, not much was said about her sudden departure, other than Guilfoyle insisting she chose to leave on her own terms to start a new job at America First, a Trump super PAC.
The New Yorker in 2020, it was reported that Guilfoyle was quietly pushed out after network executives received complaints accusing the host of sexual misconduct.
According to the report, Guilfoyle’s female assistant had submitted a 42-page draft alleging that her boss had regularly exhibited “demeaning” and “abusive” behavior and at one point offered to buy her silence when she realized her job in danger could arise.
The woman, who was not named, was hired as an assistant to Guilfoyle and former Fox News host Eric Bolling in 2015 when she was just out of college.

The complaint was thrown out of court and ultimately resulted in Fox reaching a settlement of “more than $4 million” with the assistant after Guilfoyle’s departure, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor who is dating the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., has since taken on a role in the Trump administration and was recently named finance chairman of the Trump Victory Committee.
According to the bombshell complaint, Guilfoyle had continually talked openly with her assistant about her sex life and would share photos of the genitals of the men she slept with.
She also reportedly let the woman share hotel rooms with her while traveling and in New York would require her to stay in her apartment, which she said made her feel uncomfortable.
There, Guilfoyle often undressed in front of her co-worker and even asked her to “criticize her naked body,” the report said.
These allegations were corroborated by a witness who told the magazine that Guilfoyle was “provocative in a way that made you want to get away from this person.”
Another source confirmed claims that the former news anchor had shared photos of naked men, and a former Fox employee told the magazine that she had allegedly shown pornographic videos in the office.
The complaint further alleged that Guilfoyle, who was once married to California Governor Gavin Newsom, encouraged her aide to sleep with wealthy and powerful men.
Earlier on Tuesday, exclusive photos from DailyMail.com confirmed Don Jr.’s romance. with Bettina Anderson after seeing her 38th birthday celebration in Palm Beach the night before.
The former Fox News host was trolled in 2020 after her appearance at the RNC, where she gave a cheerleading speech that ended with her shouting “the best is yet to come” to an empty theater
A former Fox colleague, who was not named, said her behavior had created an environment “that was harmful to young women.”
“It was worse than gross: It put other women at Fox in such a terrible position,” the source said.
Sources also repeated claims that Guilfoyle would speak explicitly about sexual matters, which upset “hair and makeup artists” at the studio, who later filed a complaint against her.
The report states that Guilfoyle’s assistant was working at Fox News at the time the network was under investigation for sexual misconduct amid allegations against former chairman Roger Ailes.
Guilfoyle had reportedly become nervous that her conduct would also be investigated if her assistant spoke out against her to Paul, Weiss’ attorneys, who conducted the investigation.
The complaint alleges that Guilfoyle asked her what she would say if questioned about sexual misconduct in the workplace and offered her hush money in exchange for her “loyalty.”
She allegedly offered her payments of up to $1 million, including money from Bolling, who also faced allegations of sexual misconduct.
The woman was also offered trips to Rome on a private jet, according to the report, Guilfoyle received a reduction in wages for public speaking engagements and broadcasts.
Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor, was married to Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom for four years before their 2006 divorce.
The assistant ultimately declined the offer and accused both Guilfoyle and Bolling of sexual misconduct.
The New Yorker reported that it spoke to multiple sources familiar with the complaint, as well as Guilfoyle’s assistant himself, who declined to comment.
Meanwhile, sources close to Guilfoyle told the magazine that the allegations were “false” and “inconsistent” with the Trump adviser’s behavior.
“She always puts others before herself and is unfailingly generous and ethical,” said Sergio Gor, chief of staff of Trump Victory’s finance committee.
Rumors of Guilfoyle’s alleged termination from Fox first began swirling afterward HuffPost reported that three sources claimed she had not left the cable news network “voluntarily,” and that her team was working out the details of her divorce package.
Sources close to both Guilfoyle and then-boyfriend Donald Trump Jr. denied those claims at the time, saying it was her choice to leave Fox News and start a new job at America First.
Fox News had announced in a blunt and terse statement that Guilfoyle was no longer working for the network.
“Fox News has said goodbye to Kimberly Guilfoyle,” the spokesperson said.
She did not appear on The Five the day her departure was announced and did not get the chance to say goodbye after 12 years with the network. She was replaced by Katie Pavlich.
