Kim Kardashian has caused a shock reaction for her astonishingly tiny waist in a silver corset.

The 43-year-old reality star – who is known for her curvaceous figure and bodacious bum – showed off a wild body transformation in custom Maison Margiela on the star-studded red carpet of the 2024 Met Gala in New York City.

Just a day after Kim was booed during the Tom Brady Netflix Roast, many took to social media to respond to the wild look as one wrote: ‘How many ribs did Kim remove???’

Her tiny torso look consisted of a shiny metallic silver corset that flowed into a sheer lace skirt that showed off her legs.

She combined the strapless model with matching shiny silver platform soles.

An interesting fashion choice the A-lister made was wrapping herself in a gray knit cropped sweater that stood a little apart from the rest of the look.

Kim wore her newly dyed platinum blonde locks in a center parting that showed off her dark roots.

Her makeup complemented her face and was finished with a touch of glossy nude lip.

But what was most talked about on social media was her tiny waist.

The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition falls on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year the event is called Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code is The Garden of Time.

Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year’s co-chairs. Vogue’s is also on the committee Anna Wintour.

The chairs of honor for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements and each has their own style history at the Met Gala,” Vogue said.

The display will feature approximately 250 items from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Many of the pieces are too fragile to ever be worn again.

The pieces are all rendered using elements such as AI, GCI and more, while themes such as land, sea and sky are played out.

“It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” says Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator responsible for The Costume Institute, about the upcoming exhibition.

“One thing I hope this show will activate is the sensory appreciation of fashion.”

Guests expected to attend include the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Hailey Bieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Timothee Chalamet.

Gwendoline Christie, La La Anthony and Ashley Graham will host, while YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is expected to interview stars on the red carpet.

Last year’s gala honored the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
