But when it came to the cake, the American Horror Story: Delicate star revealed: 'Fun fact: Santa hates cake, so @butterloveandhardwork made an entire chocolate football instead of a cake! The kids loved it!'
She then shared a video of Saint taking a hammer to the football to smash it, revealing the football chocolates inside.
All partygoers also received a unique gift: a white Adidas football shirt with 'Best in the West' on the front and the name of Saint Nicholas and the number eight on the back.
The food at the party stayed with the theme. Grilled cheese sandwiches were printed to resemble footballs, other foods, such as french fries, were placed in football-printed bags.
On Saint's birthday, the mother of four also shared a tribute to her son on Instagram.
'My twin Sainto! How are you, already 8 years old! I just love you so much!' she wrote in her caption alongside several photos and videos of Saint — including an adorable throwback shot from when he was a baby.
She posted a side-by-side image with a photo of her as a baby and one of Saint as a newborn and the two look like the same person.
