Kim Kardashian reveals she walked Madonna’s dog in exchange for the singer’s iconic jewellery as she reflects on being neighbours with the Queen of Pop in new Vogue documentary

Kim Kardashian has revealed she walked Madonna’s dog as a child in exchange for the singer’s iconic jewelry.

While most children wash their parents’ cars or babysit for pocket money, the 42-year-old founder of SKIMS spent her time as a child in a much more conspicuous way.

In a scene from the new Disney+ documentary In Vogue: The 90s, Kim reveals that they were neighbors with the 66-year-old music icon in the ’90s, when she was around eight years old. She and her older sister Kourtney, 45, would often walk Madonna’s dog.

But instead of getting a few bucks for their piggy bank, the girls were rewarded with something much more glamorous: Madonna’s iconic neon bracelets.

Kim talks about the gift she received from the Queen of Pop, who was just coming out of her neon ’80s phase: ‘One day I was walking Madonna’s dog and she brought a shoebox and gave it to me and Kourtney.

‘We opened the box and there were all these neon rubber bracelets in it, and she said, “Come on girls, I’m totally over this phase.” We went to school and we all wore these neon things and everyone was like, “Oh my God, where did you get that?”

‘And we said, “Madonna gave it to me,” and they said, “Yes, sir,” and I said, “No, really, Madonna gave it to me!”‘

The documentary In Vogue: The 90s, which airs from Friday, offers a star-studded look at the fashion industry of the past decade.

The series speaks to former Vogue editors-in-chief including Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour, and celebrities including supermodel Naomi Campbell, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker.

Designer Stella McCartney also shows how great her advantage is as the daughter of Beatles star Paul.

Kim’s words came after Anna Wintour said that when she became editor-in-chief of Vogue in 1989, she decided to go in a new direction and focus on who young people saw as style icons.

Next we see Kim sitting on the couch, where she tells her story about Madonna.

Kim has revealed this story before, when she spoke to Jimmy Kimmell in April about her interactions with neighbor Madonna.

After Kim shared her experiences as a dog walker, she was asked if she had ever touched or handled the Material Girl hitmaker’s whore.

Although she didn’t, the reality star did say she ran into Madonna while trick-or-treating, noting, “We ran into each other trick-or-treating. We both had like masks on and we went to the same house and we looked at each other and I was like, ‘M? Kim?'”

Meanwhile, Kate Moss revealed in the Vogue documentary the “horrible abuse” she received from the parents of her anorexia patients in the 1990s because of her infamous “heroin chic” look.

The 50-year-old, who became a figurehead for the trend in the 1990s, said people stopped her on the street and accused her of promoting eating disorders.

She said in a new Disney+ documentary: “Parents would come up to me and say, ‘My daughter has anorexia.’ It was horrible.

“I think it’s just because I was skinny, and people weren’t used to seeing skinny. But if I had been a little bit fuller, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. It’s just that my body shape was different than the models before me.”

The look became popular after the then 19-year-old posed in lingerie for the June 1993 issue of Vogue.
