Kim Kardashian posed with a group of former inmates as she continued her judicial reform work this week.

A 42-year-old law student made a peace sign as she posed with the men, all serving life sentences but who have since turned their lives around by helping their communities.

The prison reform advocate noted in the photo’s caption: “All received life sentences in prison… and served decades inside before being paroled by the parole board or commuted by the governor.”

The mother-of-four began the caption by introducing the collective while writing, “Meet Jacob, J’Mel, Dominique, Phil, Earlonne, Abraham, Serafin and David.”

He gave his followers some background information, adding, “They completely changed their lives and have dedicated the rest of their lives to giving back to the youth and working at ARC.” [Anti-Recidivism Coalition] and Intelligent Justice.’

His caption continued: “Scott Budnick organized a trip to Pelican Bay Prison, known as one of the most dangerous prisons in California.”

Dressed in sharp gray pants and a matching trench coat, she wrote online: “Yesterday I had the honor of visiting Kevin Keith in prison in Ohio after meeting his entire family and speaking at a judicial reform panel about his case.”

Kim’s advocacy work dates back to 2017 when she became involved in the clemency fight for Alice Johnson.

He first contacted Ivanka Trump about the case and then met with former President Donald Trump to campaign on Johnson’s behalf.

It led to Trump’s pardoning of Alice for a non-violent drug trafficking offense and her release from prison in the summer of 2018.

Since then, Kardashian has fought for others in similar situations, including Kevin Cooper and Julius Jones.

Speaking recently about the Angie Martinez Real Life PodcastKim noted of her first trip to the White House: “I hated how I felt when I first walked into the White House and didn’t know half of what they were saying, like all the clemency talk, and everything.” lawyer lingo and whatever they were talking about.

“With Alice, I was really naive about how this all worked,” she said. “There is a lot of work behind it.”

Kardashian said that her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, would love for her to have pursued her career in the legal world and that they have talked about her following it.

Through her continued efforts, the SKIMS founder successfully helped overturn Jones’ death sentence.

He then recalled when Trump, who is also his father-in-law, made his decision.  'Two days later, he called me early in the morning and said: "Let's make forgiveness.  Let's just hope Alice doesn't go out and kill anyone!" Jared explained.  Despite McGahn allegedly posing falsehoods to the press about the president being influenced by Kim's pop culture prominence, Trump went ahead with granting clemency.  Trump would later pardon Alice in August 2020, one day after she spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

And last May, on the first season of her family’s Hulu show The Kardashians, Kim documented the moment she learned she had passed the ‘baby bar’ law exam.

While in her car with her friend and publicist Tracy Romulus, the media personality logged into an online account where she learned the results of her third attempt at the test.

“Everyone told me this was the impossible way and there was no way I was going to pass this test, and I did it,” he later said in a confessional interview.
