Kim Kardashian makes shock admission about family’s Christmas Eve party plans
The Kardashian-Jenner family has made it a tradition to throw an epic, luxurious Christmas Eve party every year.
But Kim Kardashian shocked fans when she revealed tO Fashion bee the opening of its new SKIMS store in New York City announced on Thursday that the family is opting for a smaller-scale celebration this year.
“We’re having a very quiet Christmas Eve party this year just because there’s a lot of construction going on,” said the 44-year-old SKIMS founder.
Kim is currently renovating her $60 million Calabasas mansion, while Khloe is also renovating the home she bought right next door to mom Kris Jenner’s Hidden Hills home.
The reality TV star continued: ‘We’re doing an intimate family activity that I’m really excited about – we’re going to continue to dress up to the nines because that’s what we do.
“We’ve had some legendary Christmas Eve parties and they’re just getting started. Our kids love them and now all their friends want to come,” she told the outlet, adding, “It’s such a fun tradition.”

Last year’s celebration took place at Kim’s home and featured a star-studded guest list, including Paris Hilton.
During Thursday’s conversation with Vogue, Kim also opened up about recently breaking her foot and how she uses a scooter to get around.
“A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, broken foot and all,” said the SKIMS founder, adding that nothing would stop her from seeing her brand’s brand new flagship store.
The Kardashians star broke her foot earlier this month, but has not yet revealed exactly how it happened.
She shared an image of her foot in a boot cast with Fergie’s song Clumsy in the background and the bottom of the crutches visible.
“FML,” Kim captioned the photo with a scolding emoji. ‘Broken foot during the holidays.’
The mother of four isn’t letting a broken foot stop her from promoting her business.

She used the device after previously trying a plaster cast for her injured foot, although she was unwilling to give up her high-heeled boots for her unaffected leg.
Fans were quick to rave about Kim’s performance on social media, with one fan commenting: ‘I love that she’s still kicking it!! That’s my girl.’ Another said: ‘This photo could have been from 2013. WE’LL BE BACK SOON!’
This is not the first time Kim has been injured this year.
This summer, she broke her index and middle fingers so badly that the bone was sticking out of her skin, as she revealed on an episode of her family’s Hulu reality show.
“My big sliding door in my bathroom that opens,” she explained during an episode of The Kardashians in July.
‘I was trying to close it, but there’s no latch. You have to pull out the inside of the mechanism.”
She explained that nine-year-old Saint had run into the bathroom with chips and when she told him to put them away, the door slammed on her fingers.
“I literally looked down at my hand and fell to the ground,” she recalled. “I just grabbed the table and got on my knees because I just saw all that blood.”
Kim tried to describe the intense pain she felt when the injury occurred.

“You can’t describe the pain, but your whole body is in shock,” she explained. ‘It was more painful than childbirth.’
The foot injury comes just after the busy mum celebrated her son Saint’s ninth birthday, calling him ‘one of my soulmates’ as she paid tribute to him on Instagram.
“My birthday boy Santa turns 9 today,” she wrote on December 5. “I was going through my photos and most of our photos are hugging photos.
‘I always want to believe that my little man will be this cuddly forever! So cheers to one of my soulmates for being the sweetest guy. Congratulations. I love you.’
Kim’s sweet post comes amid dad Kanye West’s apparent absence from their four children’s lives — two years after he and his ex-wife reached a joint custody agreement.
The rapper, 47, has not been seen in public with Saint, North, 11, Chicago, six or Psalm, five for almost three months.
