Kim Kardashian has strict rules in place for daughter North’s popular TikTok
Kim Kardashian and her nine-year-old daughter North West launched their own TikTok account last November and currently boast 12 million followers.
But to protect her little girl from the dangers of social media, the 41-year-old reality TV star has laid down a set of rules.
He shared with Gwyneth Paltrow on the GOOP podcast that North does not have freehold on the account and that all comment sections on his posts are disabled.

The former couple, who separated last year and finalized their divorce in November, also share a daughter, Chicago, four, and two sons, Saint, seven, and Psalm, three.
Despite the dispute, North was never removed from TikTok and continues to post to the account on an almost daily basis.
Kim explained to Gwyneth that it’s hard to keep North off the platform when all her cousins and peers are on TikTok.

He also noted that each family’s approach to monitoring their children’s social media is different, with some being more lenient while others rule with an iron fist.
‘I think every family is different, even within my family. How Kourtney operates, how Khloé operates, how Kylie operates, we always say that every family is different,” he told the host.
Kim continued, “With social media, it’s hard because all the cousins, all my nieces and nephews, they’re all my kids’ best friends. They’re all the same age.
‘So yes [North’s cousin] Penelope has a TikTok, North wants a TikTok, and every girl at school has a TikTok.

Kim noted that Kanye was involved in setting some of the limits on her daughter’s account, though she still doesn’t support her having a TikTok.
‘However, I made a rule with his father about it: he’s not happy about it. I respect that,’ he said.
For one, Kim stated that the TikTok app “can only be on my phone” to prevent North from finding an inappropriate or harmful post.
“It’s not something you can scroll through and look at things,” the SKIMS founder explained, adding: “We don’t comment.”

Unlike TikTok, North’s Instagram account for his beloved Pomeranian pets gave people “too much access” and “only lasted, like, two days.”
‘I found a groove with her TikTok, as long as it’s me and her together and I’m there. That works for now. But it’s a crazy world, I don’t deny it.
TikTok has become a major outlet for North’s creativity, including a new passion for the art of special effects makeup.

The tween also gives fans a look into her family’s lavish lifestyle, like their extravagant Thanksgiving bash and annual Christmas Eve bash.
“The way she’s so creative, the way she loves doing TikTok and making these videos, and she takes my phone and does skincare stuff,” Kim said.
“She loves special effects makeup, so she’ll do scars, faces and bullet wounds. She takes classes on it and that’s what she loves to do, so she loves to show it off.
Kim emphasized that making videos and indulging her passions makes North “so happy and she’s so innocent in so many ways.”
Creativity: TikTok has become a major outlet for North’s creativity, including a new passion for the art of special effects makeup.
The SKKN CEO called his daughter the “best director” and marveled at the ease with which she learned video editing and Photoshop retouching over the years.
‘She loves to do these things. I take it as something more creative. As long as it’s age appropriate for her and have fun.
Kim added: “If they’re monitored, I’m okay with that.”
