As she prepared for the wedding of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, the 43-year-old reality star looked radiant and tanned ahead of the lavish festivities, waving to onlookers.

After her flight, the mother of four, who shielded her eyes with large black sunglasses, opted to wear her dark locks in a sleek, slicked-back bun.

Her younger brother, 40, on the other hand, wore casual clothes, namely a white crop top and light blue jeans with patches on them.

The Good American founder completed her relaxed look with two layered necklaces, sunglasses and a large Hermès Birkin bag.

Anant and his bride-to-be, Radhika Merchant, the daughter of a wealthy pharmaceutical magnate, tie the knot on Friday, after months of extravagant ceremonies and festivities.

Billionaire Ambani, 67, is estimated to have spent a whopping £100 million on the wedding, which included Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates and Hilary Clinton.

Justin Bieber performed at a pre-wedding party for guests, known as ‘Sangeet’, while Adele or Drake will provide entertainment at a reception, according to sources.

But the staggering sum the Indian billionaire is shelling out is less than half of the total cost, which is estimated to be a staggering £250 million. The flashy Mumbai wedding is the latest in a series of glittering events organised by the Ambani family.

In March, Rihanna performed for guests during three days of pre-wedding festivities in the western Indian city of Jamnagar. She was paid £5 million for a 90-minute performance.

In preparation for this week’s festivities, Mr Ambani, worth an estimated £100 billion, chartered a luxury cruise ship called Celebrity Ascent for 800 guests. They embarked on a four-day cruise of the Mediterranean, enjoying private performances from stars including Katy Perry, Pitbull and the Backstreet Boys.

The ship features no fewer than 32 restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as a rooftop terrace, casino, spa, several swimming pools and a theatre, all of which are for the exclusive use of guests.

Details of the wedding have been kept strictly under wraps, but a source told MailOnline: ‘It’s an incredible amount of money to spend but no expense has been spared. This is a wedding like no other, it will be as grand as you can imagine and it will have the best of the best.

‘Everything has been planned down to the last detail and the wedding will be attended by some of the world’s most influential and powerful people. The Ambanis have gone to great lengths to ensure that their wealth is displayed in all its glory.’

The actual wedding ceremony, which will be conducted according to traditional Hindu rituals, will take place next Friday at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, a sprawling 16,000-capacity cultural and business centre built by the Ambani family.

The following day, a traditional ‘divine blessing ceremony’ known as ‘The Shubh Aashirwad’ will take place at the same venue. A glittering reception will also be held on Sunday.

The dates for the ceremonies were chosen by a Hindu priest according to auspicious days in the birth charts of Anant and Radhika. They are both 29 years old.

About 100 chefs prepare a variety of Indian and European delicacies for the guests. They have all been instructed on what to wear, according to the theme of the wedding.

The dress code for the wedding ceremony on Friday is ‘traditional Indian attire’, with ‘formal Indian’ for the following Saturday and ‘posh Indian’ for the reception the following day.

Invitations were sent out last month in an ornate red box containing a silver temple model, gifts and a handmade pashmina shawl. Each invitation was estimated to cost around £7,000.

Radhika is the daughter of Indian pharmacist Viren Merchant and works for his company, while Anant is employed by his father.

They both studied at universities in the US and met in 2017 through mutual friends and started dating shortly after.

Mr Ambani has two other children and is chairman of Reliance Industries, India’s largest company by market capitalisation with major interests in energy, telecommunications and entertainment.

In 2018, he threw his daughter Isha the most expensive wedding India had ever seen, reportedly costing £80 million.
