Kim Kardashian gets her own series! AHS star will act in ‘sexy adult’ drama playing lawyer inspired by HER divorce attorney Laura Wasser in new Ryan Murphy offering

Kim Kardashian will star in her own series helmed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy – hot on the heels of her turn in AHS: Delicate.

The reality star, 43, who played publicist Siobhan in the scary drama, will get the chance to further develop her acting skills in a 'sexy adult' drama – in which she will play LA's most successful divorce lawyer, reports Deadline.

Kim's lawyer alter-ego – who TMZ Reports is inspired by the star's divorce lawyer, “disso queen” Laura Wasser – will also be the owner of an all-female law firm in the drama, written by Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. Her contract is currently being negotiated.

The drama will air on Hulu with a “major series commitment” and will be Murphy's first series under his new Disney deal, with 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios, producing.

Murphy, Baitz and Baken pitched the series to Kardashian and Kris Jenner — both “immediately committed.” Kardashian is currently studying to be a lawyer in real life.

Murphy, Kardashian and Jenner are all executive producers — and have begun preliminary casting for three actresses to play Kardashian's three law partners, in addition to an A-lister to play her love interest.

Sources tell the publication that the series aims to begin production in late 2024 for an early 2025 premiere.

Wasser is Hollywood's famous divorce lawyer and handled Kardashian and Kanye West's divorce last year.

When it was announced that Kim would star in AHS: Delicate earlier in April, her casting was met with some criticism, with stars like Patti LuPone and Sharon Stone expressing their own disapproval.

The Basic Instinct actress specifically commented on a post that shared a clip of Patti expressing her thoughts on Kim taking on a major role on the show.

“Well… you know… acting. It may not be brain surgery, but we do cherish our art,” Sharon had written. “We have studied, we have suffered, we are suffering. Ten thousand hours; it's a thing.'

When the series premiered, some fans were negative about Kim's performance, while some took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.

One wrote, “I don't like Kim at all #AHS,” while another social media user wrote, “Kim sucks at acting. Why is she doing this? It ruined it for me.”

Others, however, applauded the TV personality in her first scripted television role.

Another added, “FINALLY it feels like AHS again! Really enjoy this season! And @KimKardashian is shockingly awesome!”

And in the comments section of The Kardashian's finale trailer, which was uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday, some social media users expressed the same positive opinion.

“She's actually killing her role, it suits her well, at least the businesswoman side,” one fan wrote, with another writing: “And she killed it like always.”

Despite receiving mixed opinions from fans about her performance in American Horror Story, it was recently revealed that the star will continue her budding acting career by both producing and starring in the comedy The 5th Wheel.

In addition to AHS, Kim also voiced the character of Delores in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, which premiered in September.

According to DeadlineKim will not only step in front of the camera to take on a role in the film, but will also produce the film alongside Paula Bell.

The screenplay will be written by both Bell and Janine Brito and five studios had competed against each other to score the package – which ultimately went to Netflix.
