Kim Kardashian gets backlash for ‘complaining’ about being a single mom

Kim Kardashian has sparked the ire of many fans after she recently voiced her challenges as a single mom.

The reality TV star, 42, said parenting is ‘really f*****g hard’ while appearing on Mondays’Purposely with Jay Shettypodcast, where she also admitted that she sometimes “cries herself to sleep” from the stress.

However, many took to her “complaints,” pointing out that the SKIMS founder – sharing North, nine; Holy, seven; Chicago, five; and Psalm, four with ex Kanye West, 45 — has a lot more help than the average mom.

“She’s got Nannie’s [sic] and a lot of support compared to the average woman, and yet she still complains,” one commenter noted.

“Kim has 4 nannies, one for each child. Motherhood is not difficult. Nannies raise her children. She needs to stop trying to pretend she’s middle class,” another wrote.

“She also talks like she doesn’t HAVE A FULL STAFF OF PEOPLE HELPING HER WTF,” someone else added.

“I HATE the way they never acknowledge their help, like they don’t have nannies, maids, personal chefs, personal trainers, plastic surgeons on speed dial. get REAL kim,” another person chimed in.

“So much fakery and contrived drama in their lives. Has so much background help from nannies. You’d swear she’s doing it all by herself,” another joked.

Other commenters praised Kim for her work ethic but complained that she doesn’t acknowledge the help she is receiving.

“I wish she would acknowledge all the parenting stuff and go into detail about Nannies and help,” one wrote.

“Kim has Nannies to help her, and I have no doubt she works hard and appreciates her grind – but she doesn’t do everything alone.”

However, the Hulu star also received a lot of positive comments from others dealing with her situation.

As a mother of 4, and a single mom, she speaks from legit experience! She may be extremely successful, and nannies… but what she talks about with 4 kids and a mom… is FUN! Nobody understands that if you don’t have several children.’ a woman wrote.

“Being a single mom is hard. I can’t imagine being in the public eye too, constantly judged and criticized for every aspect of life,” added another.

When the host asked the TV personality what her “vision” of parenting was like in the past before there were kids versus “what it really is,” she said, “Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that can’t be like a more truthful statement.’

She continued, “So, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when it’s babies and you’re eating and there’s madness going on. It’s like complete madness. However, it is the best chaos.’

“Like, my mornings, you have no idea what’s going on,” Kim explained. “It’s like I always have to do my daughter’s hair, and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way.”

“And then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. It’s like complete crazy madness, cooking, running around. It’s wild. That’s why I need my workout in the morning, just to love, to prepare for the two hours of madness.”

The media personality then reflected on parenting and told Jay, “I would say parenting has taught me the most about myself.”

“It has been the most challenging. There are nights when I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f*****g tornado in my house. What just happened?’

“You know, with all the moods and personalities and sometimes they fight, and you know, there’s no one there. Like it [just] I want to play a good cop and a bad cop,” she admitted, adding that she was “working on getting a little stricter.”

Kim remained frankly candid, admitting to Jay, “There’s nothing that can prepare you. Anyone, any person who says, “Oh, we’re waiting for ‘x’ money in the bank” or “Oh, we’re waiting for a house before we have kids”… you’re never prepared.”

Despite the parenting challenges, the star said positively, “You’ll work it out. And it will make you so proud of yourself – for figuring it out and making it through the day.”

While the mother of four admitted that it’s hard to start a family, she also revealed how rewarding it can be. “It teaches you so much more about yourself than I think anyone, any parent, could have ever imagined.”
