The reality star said: “Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be more accurate.”

“Like, my mornings, you have no idea what’s going on,” Kim explained. “It’s like I always have to do my daughter’s hair, and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way.”

“And then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. It’s like complete crazy madness, cooking, running around. It’s wild. That’s why I need my workout in the morning, just to love, to prepare for the two hours of madness.”

The media personality then reflected on parenting and told Jay, “I would say parenting has taught me the most about myself. It’s been the most challenging. There are nights when I cry myself to sleep, like, “What just happened?” You know, with all moods, all personalities, and sometimes they fight.’

She explained that: “There is no one there. Like, it’s me to play good cop and bad cop. So that’s definitely a challenge,” and admitted that she was “working on getting a little firmer.”

Kim remained frankly candid, admitting to Jay, “There’s nothing that can prepare you. Anyone, any person who says, “Oh, we’re waiting to have ‘x’ money in the bank” or “Oh, we’re waiting to have a house before we have kids”… you’re never prepared.”

Despite the parenting challenges, the star said positively, “You’ll work it out. And it will make you so proud of yourself – for figuring it out and making it through the day.”

While the mother of four admitted that it’s hard to start a family, she also revealed how rewarding it can be.

“It teaches you so much more about yourself than I think anyone, any parent, could have ever imagined.”

“I mean, there are nights when as a mom you don’t wash your hair for days, and you’ve spit all over you, and you’re wearing the same pajamas… and there’s just nothing that can prepare you for this experience.”

“It’s the most challenging, rewarding job on his planet,” the Kardashians star concluded.

Kim tied the knot with the Flashing Lights rapper in 2014 and welcomed two daughters: North and Chicago, as well as two sons: Saint and Psalm, into their marriage.

However, in February 2021, the media star filed for divorce from the artist, which was later finalized in November at the end of last year.

In December 2022, the businesswoman got emotional when she spoke about the difficulties of co-parenting while on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast. She opened up about “protecting” her children and protecting her ex-husband.

“At my house, my kids don’t know anything about what’s going on,” she explained, referring to Kanye’s past public outbursts. “I hold my thread. I know I’m so close it won’t happen. But as long as it is, I will protect it as long as possible to the ends of the earth.’

The mother of four burst into tears as she discussed their public separation and compared her children’s lives to those of hers who were raised by the late attorney Robert Kardashian.

Kim cried as she said, “I had the best dad. I don’t want to get emotional. It’s just been a day for me. It is difficult. S**t, like co-parenting, it’s really fucking hard, you know.”

Getting candid: In December 2022, the businesswoman got emotional when she spoke about the difficulties of co-parenting while appearing on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast

Angie said Kim didn’t co-parent with the “quietest, easiest” ex-partner.

Kim replied, “Yeah, but I had the best dad and I had the best memories and the best experience and that’s all I want for my kids.” As long as they can have that, that’s what I’d want for them, you know.

“So if they don’t know the things that are being said or what’s going on in the world, why would I ever give them that energy?” You know, that’s like real heavy, heavy adult shit. That they’re not ready to deal with.”

“And when they do, we’ll have those conversations and I’ll be so prepared, but until then, I’ll do everything I can to keep their lives as normal as possible.”

Kim said she’ll be prepared if her kids ask questions about Kanye’s public outbursts, but for now she’s keeping quiet. She later said, “One day my kids will thank me for sitting here and not bash their dad if I could,” she told host Angie Martinez.

‘All the crazy stuff. They will thank me and I will privately answer anything they want to know. It’s not up to me to jump in anymore.’

The star, who celebrated her son Psalm’s fourth birthday earlier this month, has been busy releasing the podcast episode.

She was spotted spending time in the Big Apple promoting the opening of her pop-up store SKIMS at Rockefeller Center on Tuesday.
