Her 2-year-old son Taylen Mosley was found dead inside the mouth of an alligator about 10 miles from his mother’s home.
Officers managed to recover her body after killing the animal, and a medical examiner determined her cause of death.
Mosley was initially taken to the hospital to receive treatment for cuts to his arms and hands, but has since been transferred to the Pinellas County Jail.
Pashun was discovered with multiple stab wounds in her apartment, with her heartbroken family paying tribute to the mother-of-one and her son.

Police announced that Mosley was a “person of interest” after locating him in hopes of finding Taylen, who was not in their custody at the time.
Thomas had checked himself into the hospital and was covered in cuts on his arms and hands.
Thomas did not speak to investigators and police confirmed that he was not cooperating with authorities.
Family members saw the mother and son on Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. and requested a wellness check the next day after they were unable to contact her.
Pashun’s relatives said she was a ‘dedicated’ single mother, doting on her son.
On Friday night, Taylen was found dead inside the mouth of an alligator in Dell Holmes Park, about 10 miles from his mother’s home.
Taylen had just celebrated his second birthday 19 days before he was found dead. The boy’s family called him Tay-Tay and said he loved PB&J and would call his mother when he took a break from work.
Neighbors said they heard a loud commotion near the apartment around 8:30 p.m. but did not call police.
Shortly after the commotion at the apartment, Thomas showed up at his mother’s house covered in cuts.
The next morning, Pashun’s mother called the apartment manager for a welfare check after her daughter missed her daily FaceTime call and was found dead by an employee. Holloway described the crime scene as “very violent”.
The apartment door was closed when the employee arrived.
Pashun, who worked at CVS, and Taylen had recently moved into the apartment, according to WGXA.
