The Kyle and Jackie O Show has reached an ‘astonishing’ milestone in ratings.
The long-running breakfast radio show has just registered the highest number of listeners ever in Sydney, the latest survey results show.
Hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reached more Sydneysiders than ever during the latest viewing period than at any point in their 30-year career.

The show was lifted by great coverage of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, plus the popular ‘guess the vote’ contest Cash, Cars and Stars.
In particular, Kyle and Jackie O have countered the trend of radio ratings going downhill as more young people turn to podcasts for content.
Not only has the program consistently increased its live radio audience, especially in the 25-54 demographic, but the catch-up podcast is number 1 in Australia.

ARN’s chief content officer Duncan Campbell said: “Kyle and Jackie O is a powerhouse of a show that continues to grow.
‘To be the No. 1 FM Sydney breakfast show for 30 consecutive surveys and set a record’ [cumulative audience]is an incredible achievement and highlights the enduring and powerful connection Kyle, Jackie and the entire team have with their audience.
“This show is as current and relevant today as it was 30 surveys ago, and we thank our loyal listeners for their continued support.”

The news comes as Kyle and Jackie O’s executive producer Sonia Jahshan prepares to leave the show to join Channel Seven’s Sunrise team.
Ms. Jahshan, better known to KIIS FM listeners by her on-air nickname “Palestine,” announced the news via LinkedIn earlier this month.
“A perennial goal has been to pursue my passion for television and later this year I am excited to announce that I will be starting a new role as Senior Producer for Sunrise. [on] Channel Seven,” Ms Jahshan wrote.
Ms Jahshan confirmed her departure was amicable and thanked Sandilands and Henderson for their support over the past five years.

“Over the years, we’ve gone from pillar to post, breaking records and reaching new heights delivering innovative and new content,” she wrote.
“Getting some of the biggest ratings Kyle and Jackie O have ever had has been a highlight of my career,” she continued.
“I can’t thank Kyle and Jackie O enough for their support and confidence that I will run their show animal.”
“I will be forever grateful to them,” she concluded.

Jahshan will leave KIIS FM at the end of the year, an ARN spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail Australia on Thursday.
“I want to say a huge thank you for her contribution, dedication and passion, and wish her all the best in her next adventure,” said Derek Bargwanna, Head of KIIS Network.
“Sonia’s departure has opened up a rare opportunity to participate in Australia’s largest and most successful radio show, and a global search is now underway for a new executive producer to join Kyle, Jackie and the KIIS team in 2023,” he added. ready.
Ms. Jahshan joined ARN in January 2017 as a senior producer.
She worked her way up the ranks and was named executive producer in January 2019, following the departure of Bruno Bouchet.
