KIIS FM producer Pete Deppeler is caught STEALING from Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson

KIIS FM producer Pete Deppeler has been caught stealing from the show Kyle and Jackie O.

The talent manager, better known as ‘intern Piet’, was caught red-handed stealing boxes of fruit and vegetables that had been given as a gift to the radio program.

His lies were exposed live on air by his colleague Cooper Johns, who made a video of Pete secretly collecting the delivery and taking it to his own car.

It turned out that Pete secretly took home boxes of $100 worth of fruit every week for two years, despite the fact that they were intended for Kyle Sandilands, Jackie O Henderson and their team.

Kylie and Jackie were shocked to discover that Pete had taken the boxes for himself, and urged him to pay the fruiter back for the deliveries – which amounted to a huge $10,400.

Pete revealed that he shared the fruit with his friends and neighbors, rather than handing it out to the team working on the Kyle and Jackie O show, as the fruiterer had intended.

Upon viewing the video of the theft, Kyle and Jackie were shocked by the size of the box, while sharing their disappointment that he had not told the team about it.

Jackie said, “I honestly think this is one of the worst things you’ve done. I’m not kidding, I’m not trying to make you feel bad, but what you did is bad.”

While Kyle added: ‘Gosh Peter, this is a bad thing. I may not be able to save you from this photographic evidence of theft.”

When asked what was in the box, Pete explained, “It’s usually a nice box: bananas, avocados, blueberries, strawberries, a few cases of eggs, bits and pieces.”

Pete insisted he never contacted the fruiter for the free goods, but took him up on an offer, sharing his regret about his decision after the truth emerged.

It emerged live that Pete had been secretly taking home boxes of fruit worth $100 every week for two years, instead of sharing them with the radio team as the fruiter had intended.

It was revealed that Pete had even told the fruiterer that Kyle and Jackie had enjoyed the produce, despite not even knowing about the boxes.

Jackie admitted she was ‘disappointed’ that Pete had stolen the deliveries when she and Kyle called on him to refund the fruiter.

“You’re constantly risking your job here, you’re constantly losing small victories, you’ve got an evil streak in you young man,” Kyle said angrily.

The radio hosts then urged him to open up about other forms of deception and insisted that he would not get in trouble if he revealed the truth.

Kyle said, “If something like this comes up again, you should be fired immediately. So now you’re risking your job, but you have a Get Out of Jail Free card. You have to come clean now and then you’ll get away with it.’

Jackie admitted she was ‘disappointed’ that Pete had stolen the deliveries when she and Kyle called on him to reimburse the fruiter for the $10,000 worth of produce.

“If we find out later, you’ll have to be let go,” Jackie added.

But Pete insisted there was no other deception, telling them: ‘I wouldn’t risk my job, there’s no way I would risk my job on this.’
