Kid Rock shames Michelle Obama for skipping Trump inauguration: ‘I didn’t vote for your husband… but I played for him when you asked me to!’

Kid Rock blasted Michelle Obama for skipping Trump’s inauguration, reminding her that he didn’t vote for her husband in 2014 — but still played for him “out of respect” when asked.

Speaking to Fox News host Jesse Watters, the 54-year-old, real name Robert James Ritchie, took aim at Obama for disapproving of the ceremony.

He said, “I would like to kindly remind you [Michelle] that years ago, when Obama was first elected, I didn’t vote for him, but they asked me to play the inauguration.

“I played it, I went, I had a good time. I went out of respect for the presidency, I would kindly remind Miss Michelle of that.”

When asked by Watters why he thinks the 61-year-old would not attend, he added: “I don’t know, she seems a bit angry. I can’t say anything nice.’

Rock, an avid Trump supporter, will perform at Monday’s ceremony alongside The Village People and Billy Ray Cyrus.

He was quick to praise the new president, adding, “I feel like people are finding out what kind of man Trump is. He’s just a great guy.’

Her spokesperson declined to give a reason for her absence, which also follows her absence from former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

Obama’s spokesman declined to give a reason for her absence, which also follows her failure to appear at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

Obama reportedly missed the funeral at the Washington National Cathedral due to a “scheduling conflict” while she enjoyed an extended vacation in Hawaii.

The former first lady has been less publicly involved since the death of her mother, Marian Robinson, in May.

When she spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August, she noted that her grief almost kept her from taking the stage.

“I still feel her loss so deeply — I wasn’t even sure I would be strong enough to stand before you tonight,” she told the huge crowd at Chicago’s United Center.

Still, she headlined several campaign events for Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris prior to Election Day.

In general, former presidents and first ladies have attended the inauguration — even the president of the other party — unless they were suffering from health problems.

Trump blew up that modern precedent four years ago by refusing to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his successor, President Joe Biden.

Barack Obama still plans to attend the swearing-in on Monday, with the two lighting up the internet at Carter’s memorial because they seemed unusually chatty.

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, Michelle is skipping the inauguration because she refused to be “fake” about her loyalties.

The source said: ‘She’s never been fake and she’s never been fake. She has always been very conscious about where and how she appears.

‘She reluctantly showed up for the election. They were united, but she doesn’t need to unite [Trump]. She doesn’t have to say anything. Her absence speaks volumes.”

Her lack of public appearances comes amid wild conspiracy theories that the Obamas are heading for a split.

Michelle Obama created headlines at Bush’s funeral after she awkwardly shook Trump’s hand and looked away.

The former First Lady said she would never forgive Trump for promoting the “birther” conspiracy in 2015 that her husband Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

“Donald Trump endangered the safety of my family with his loud and reckless innuendo. And for this I would never forgive him,” she wrote in her book Become.

She accused Trump of being “crazy and small-minded” for focusing on the attacks inspired by “underlying bigotry and xenophobia.”
