Ulric Bokeme had a few surprising seconds during his middleweight kickboxing bout with Michael Boapeah when he realized his teeth had been knocked out.
In the middle of the fight, Bokeme turned to his corner and signaled that something was wrong before taking out his mouthguard and ostensibly spitting out his teeth.
Once Bokeme turned around, the referee had called off the fight with 52 seconds left in the second round.
It took a while to process, but once he did, Bokeme looked around in disbelief.
A member of the Glory Kickboxing fight’s broadcast team said Bokeme couldn’t just turn around and interact with his corner in such a way while the fight was still in full swing.

Bokeme couldn’t believe it when his fight with Michael Boapeh was called off when he retired
“He turned… and that was it!” exclaimed the play-by-play caller. “You just can’t turn your back and walk to your corner.”
Before the unusual scenes, Boapeh landed a left and right jab on Bokeme.
However, it seems those shots weren’t the ones that caused the free dental realignment he gave Bokeme.
The No. 7 ranked fighter had not lost since October 2019 and now holds a 32-4 record.
Meanwhile, the victorious Boapeah has won back-to-back fights and holds a kickboxing record of 16-4.
