Khloe Kardashian shared a lengthy post to her Insta Stories on Tuesday after she was criticized for sucking in a very large amount of water to nourish her huge lawns at her mansion in Hidden Hills, California.
Excessive water use is a touchy subject these days as fires rage in drought-stricken Los Angeles.
The 40-year-old reality TV star discussed “empathy,” “humanity” and “compassion” in her mission statement.
Her note seemed sincere as she expressed pride in being an Angeleno.
“Amid the devastation caused by the fires, it was heartwarming to see people coming together, despite this unimaginable loss, and supporting each other with unwavering kindness and empathy,” the mother of two began.
The Good American designer continued, “I’ve never seen so much love come from our city.”

She added, “Neighbors are helping neighbors, strangers are supporting strangers, businesses are stepping in to care for our brave firefighters, and first responders and communities are showing us the incredible power that comes from unity.
She then said that this outpouring of humanity reminds everyone of “the power of compassion” and gives us so much hope, even in the darkest and most challenging moments.
“These acts of love and generosity shine brightly and reveal to us the beauty and resilience of the human spirit,” Kim Kardashian’s younger sister added.
And she noted, “It’s a beautiful reminder that we are never alone.”
The ex of basketball star Tristan Thompson ended her note with: ‘Los Angeles is a city full of people who care about each other, who feel, who help, who grieve with each other, who hope with each other, who support each other and who love each other. I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the City of Angels.”
Khloe ended her post with a white heart emoji.
This comes a day after she was criticized by actress Yvette Nicole Brown for her water consumption amid the ongoing catastrophic fires in LA.
Kardashian, one of the most outspoken celebrities to rail against LA Mayor Karen Bass during the crisis, was criticized by Brown for her massive water use during LA’s 2022 drought.
Brown shared a screenshot of a Rolling Stone article with the headline, “Kardashians Among LA’s Worst Water Wastes,” and wrote, “This is from 2022, when Los Angeles was in the middle of a drought.
‘Every citizen was asked to save for the good of all others. You know because of fires? This is how some citizens responded to the question.

Her note seemed sincere as she expressed pride in being an Angeleno. “Amid the devastation caused by the fires, it was heartwarming to see people coming together despite this unimaginable loss and supporting each other with unwavering kindness and empathy,” the mother of two began.
“Is THIS a joke @khloekardashian?”
The article used public data obtained by the Los Angeles Times, which showed that Khloe’s Calabasas home used about 250,000 gallons of water over the limit in one month.
Fans were quick to respond to Khloe’s condemnation, with one writing: ‘I said I’d mind my business for the next four years but this side circus needs to be called out. Thank you.’
Another typed: ‘I’m sure Khloe just made sure her pool had enough water and her hot tub was cleaned regularly. What’s a little extra water when there’s fun to be had??’
Others wrote, “SAY THAT LOWER!”, “You already know they (Kardashians) are extremely tone deaf,” and “See what happens when you’re loud and wrong @khloekardashian??? Smh.”
Strict water-saving measures have been in place since 2022, with ‘ordinary’ residents being allowed to water their gardens twice a week for eight minutes.
Khloe’s sister Kim, who lives in a $60 million home, was fined by the city council that year for using 232,000 more gallons of water than she was allotted.
Other celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone and comedian Kevin Hart, were also fined.
The Mail on Sunday understands that Kim Kardashian has now taken water-saving measures.
A neighbor of Kardashian’s told the Mail on Sunday: ‘These celebrities feel entitled.

‘Everyone was told that they had to cut back on water specifically for this situation, to save it for fighting fires. They kept giving water because they could pay the fines.”
Anger also grew against wealthy people who hired private firefighters for $2,000 an hour to protect their property.
Chris Dunn, owner of Covered 6, which provides the service to Hollywood’s elite, told the Mail on Sunday: ‘My phone is ringing off the hook. Demand has never been higher.’
A wealthy source said: “This week’s events have shown that you cannot trust the city to protect your property. I have the money, so why not?’
This comes as Khloe is facing backlash after going after Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass — calling her “a joke” — in a social media post criticizing her for alleged cuts to the Fire Department’s budget Los Angeles in the aftermath of the massive wildfires.
The reality star uploaded a short video to her Instagram Stories on Friday of a clip from a Fox 11 LA segment.
During an interview, LAFD Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said the mayor’s budget cuts to the department were impacting firefighting throughout Southern California. He told the station: ‘My message is that the fire service should be properly funded, but that is not the case.’
In a caption to a clip of the interview, Khloe, a resident of the city of Calabasas, California, wrote, “I stand with YOU, Chief Crowley!!!! You spoke the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you that’s not what you wanted to say, but it was THE TRUTH!!!! Mayor Bass, you are a joke!!!!”
However, social media users were quick to remind the Good American founder of multiple reports documenting that her sisters Kim and Kourtney, 45, had ignored local water conservation mandates amid an ongoing drought in the area.
One user said: ‘Instead of Khloé Kardashian talking bulls*** about Mayor Karen Bass, people should talk about how… her sister used over 300,000 gallons of water in just one month during a drought. What about the water waster, just STFU.”
Another told Khloe, the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters, “Have the same energy for your family, boo.”
The commenter wrote referring to a June 2022 incident where Kim was found to have used 232,000 excess gallons of water during a drought, adding, “What about the water waster, just STFU.”
The Kardashians have since installed water-saving equipment on their properties.
“The Kardashians hired a private fire department to make sure their property didn’t burn down in the last fire, which must be nice,” they said.
Atlantic contributor Jemele Hill responded to a post about Kardashian on The Shade Room’s Instagram page and provided a detailed explanation of the alleged cuts, writing, “The city of LA was in the process of negotiating with the fire department regarding: salaries and the end result was a $50 million increase for them. So ultimately they are not short-circuited,” adding that “KK’s comments are ill-informed.”
The drama surrounding the LA fires will be featured in an episode of The Kardashians for Hulu
Brown and Kym Whitley are standing by Bass amid the wildfire crisis, and they believe the harsh criticism she is receiving is race-related.
“Let me tell you something, she has a spine of steel,” Yvette told TMZ outside a supermarket on Saturday.
“And she’s also been a black woman in America for a long time, so none of this is new to her. We’re angry because we’re tired of it.’
Kym added: “We are angry with her. Someone needs to stand behind her and support her, because of the way she is dealing with it. You can see it in her face. She stays calm, but think about it, she has the city to take care of!’
The 53-year-old Community alumnus noted that the 71-year-old Democratic politician was born and raised in the City of Angels, but she is “not the mayor of every municipality” as Mayor Doug Stewart oversees Malibu.
The 62-year-old podcaster Two Funny Mamas understands that people watching the fires on TV want someone to blame, but emphasized that Karen has helped bring in firefighters “who come from other countries to help us.”
‘This is not the time [to blame]. I want everyone to stay calm, be vigilant and support the leadership,” Whitley said.
“Support Karen Bass. That’s all I can say. Ooh, you all upset me. She did what she had to do. She jumped in.”
