‘Let’s not disparage my years of working out’: Khloe Kardashian slams claims she used a diabetes drug to lose weight, after her family’s TikTok craze led to a shortage of the vital jab
Khloe Kardashian has responded to claims that she uses a controversial diabetes drug to lose weight.
Last year, fans speculated that her sister Kim had used the drug to rapidly drop 16 pounds in time for the Met Gala, inadvertently sparking a stampede of the pioneering obesity drug and resulting in a worldwide shortage.
Kim later insisted that she had lost weight in a healthy way, crediting the diet, a sauna suit and running twice a day with the change, and now Khloe has also hit back at rumors that she used the drug.

The mother-of-two showed off her incredible abs in an Instagram post on Tuesday while posing for Sorbet magazine, leading one fan to claim it was the result of taking semaglutide, known by the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy, which has helped to people who take it shed almost a fifth of their weight by suppressing their appetite.
One follower commented: ‘The fact that she uses diabetic medicine to get so skinny is disturbing. [sic]’.
Khloe then clapped back: “Let’s not disparage my years of working out.” I get up 5 days a week at 6 am to train. Please stop with your assumptions. I guess New Years still means bad people.

Khloe also hit back at fans who claimed she had “changed her face” after trying on clip-in bangs for the shoot.
The 38-year-old reality star shared a snapshot of her new look in an Instagram post on Tuesday, crediting the hairstyle for changing the ‘shape’ of her face.
“Fun fact: I wore clip in bangs for this shoot,” she wrote. ‘It was fun to give a different look and not compromise. I’m surprised how much I liked the bangs even though it changed the shape of my face.’
Lean: Last year, fans speculated that her sister Kim had used the drug to quickly drop 16 pounds in time for the Met Gala.
Many of her fans praised the bangs for making her look ‘younger’ and more like Heidi Klum and Denise Richards, while others marveled at her striking resemblance to Taylor Swift in the image.
However, other followers were quick to comment that they could see other changes, noting, “I don’t think it was the bangs that changed your face”; ‘Literally, who is that?’; ‘Ohhh, was it the bangs that changed your face so much in these photos?’
While the post appears to have since been deleted, just jared claims Khloe then responded, “I’m open about my nose job and anyone who ‘looks up’ to me should know that I’ve lost over 60 pounds over the years.” So recently the only change is the bangs. He didn’t know he had to make a continuous list.
‘Either way, attacking someone is sad in my opinion. Unprovoked is the saddest part. If you’re offended or don’t like what he sees, you just don’t have to say anything. Hope you have a great first week of the new year. Thanks for making mine so happy.
Last year it was revealed that a TikTok-fueled stampede for the pioneering obesity drug had led to a global shortage, leaving desperate patients with serious health problems like type 2 diabetes without vital treatment.
The drug went viral on TikTok over the summer as a boon to those looking to lose weight, and unsubstantiated allegations began to surface that stars like the Kardashian family were using it to lose weight.
Glamor reports that Google searches for the drug skyrocketed after Kim shared that she had reduced her body fat percentage from 25 to 18, though she never confirmed use of the drug.
Although semaglutide is licensed for use only in obese people with health problems, specialists can legally offer it to anyone they think could benefit; this is known as ‘off-label’ use. It has allowed doctors to prescribe semaglutide to high-risk patients as a preventative measure, rather than waiting for them to develop disease.
During the second season of The Kardashians, Kim revealed to Khloe that her family was concerned that she was losing too much weight due to stress over the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal.
Khloe wasn’t sure how to react when Kim commented: ‘You look so skinny.
“I will say that Kendall and Kylie, not that I’m trying to trick them, but they texted me and said they were a little worried about you, because you’re so skinny.”
The scenes were filmed in February 2022, shortly after it was revealed that Tristan had impregnated a Texan personal trainer named Maralee Nichols.
