Keyontae Johnson’s long journey continues after he was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder after a long college career.

More than two years ago, Johnson collapsed on the field during a game in December 2020.

Johnson played for Florida for a while and after this incident he was diagnosed with a heart condition and told he might never play again.

He transferred to Kansas State and spent the 2022-2023 season there after receiving clearance to play.

He spent three days at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in a medically induced coma before returning to Gainesville.

In May, Johnson was cleared to play in the NBA by the league’s Fitness to Play panel, allowing him to train for NBA teams.

Johnson interviewed teams at the NBA draft combine in Chicago last week.
